The rookies are included but literally everyone in Mankai are kittens so read at you're own risk. WARNING: Ch9 will contain Act 9 and 10 spoilers everything else can be read without any spoilers for those two acts.
Btw I have no real knowledge of adopting kittens or proper kitten types so the story is a bit more on the idea aspect then on the realism.

One of the most important things to Taichi Nanao was being popular. It wasn't because he wanted to become rich like Azuma or to be surrounded by celebrities like Tenma. No, Taichi wanted to be popular because in his mind, if he was popular he would have never fallen out of favor from his childhood friend because being forgotten was a worse fate than death.
