Reach of Destiny - By FallenBelle and RuthieGreen
A politician, a reporter and a coroner all walk into a bar and witness an awful death…
In Roaring Twenties Toronto, prohibition is in full swing but someone has taken to poisoning bootleg booze. The new Mayor’s friend is dead in a posh speakeasy and Detective William Murdoch, a war veteran and nearly broken man, is charged with solving the high-profile crimes without getting him or his boss fired in the process. To do that he has to work with the newly-minted City Coroner, Dr. Julia Ogden, who isn't sure she wants the job, but has her own ideas about conducting a proper police inquiry. Meanwhile, the bodies are piling up, and love, death, betrayal and secrets beleaguer William and Julia, as they navigate corruption, their working relationship, and a killing spree (or two.)

Summary
This second installment of the Queen's Plate series is from the point of view of Ruby Ogden. The story was inspired by the episode, The Kissing Bandit (Murdoch Mysteries season 4, episode 12). This takes place one year prior to that episode, in June 1897 at the Woodbine race course/Ontario Jockey Club, along the shores of Lake Ontario in eastern Toronto.
Crabtree looked up from his notepad. He asked, “Ruby Ogden?” Recognition hit him like man who’d asked for a glass of water, but had been given a shot of gin instead.
I had to think fast. I would not have Crabtree ruining my investigation.

Summary
It all started when Julia decided to tell William It was time to move on, and left him there to drink himself into his own death. Instead he escapes to Boston on a train, hoping to get away from it all. Except the train derails and William finds himself very much alive in a hospital. The difference? It's 2013 and there seems to be a modern version of everyone- Including Julia, and she just happens to be a little suspicious about where this William might have come from. The one problem is, at the end of it all William isn't quite sure what he has that he can return to back in the 19th century, If he can even get back that is.

Summary
Nobody could wrap their head around what was going on. A Demigod and a genius from a different time? William wants to get to the bottom of it, but Loki seems to enjoy being a little jerk and decides to start moving in on Julia just to make everyone stir, As least there's a Tony stark to hopefully keep him under control. Not only that, but at least he hasn't killed anyone yet, but he sure is getting on the Constabulary's nerves. Eventual Frostiron.
