Summary
Their first meeting doesn't exactly go well. Bob thinks Hangman is a douche and Hangman thinks Bob is a nerd. An unpleasant encounter with Bob's former pilot might set another perspective.
“Well, well, well. If this isn’t Bob ‘Faggot’ Floyd.”
Bob’s heart is beating fast and while the blood rises to his cheeks, he wishes for the ground to open up and swallow him whole. Hangman gives him an incredulous and astonished look. Of all people it has to be him to witness this situation!
“Are you assigned to fly with him?”, Slayer asks, but doesn’t even wait for an answer. “I’ll give you a warning. You should stay away from him or Bob here will surely try to get into your pants.”
“And who wouldn’t? I mean, look at me. Everybody wants a piece of the Hangman. Really can’t blame him for that.”
Bob’s head shots back up, his mouth stands open and he really can’t believe Hangman said that. The pilot is leaning against the counter and seems absolutely relaxed, clearly enjoying himself. He smiles and the mischief in his grey eyes makes him look annoyingly sexy.

His momma taught him that his daddy got real sick. Sick enough to pass because it broke his heart that momma didn’t love daddy like he loved her. As a young boy, Robert Floyd vowed to never give his heart to someone who would break it like his momma did his daddy. But it seemed like his heart had grown legs and walked off to settle in Jake Seresin’s chest the moment they met. Without his saying so, no less. He hoped, at least, that Jake was taking care of his heart while it was with him, treating it with care and gentleness, because he couldn’t seem to check in on it himself.

Jake strolled into the tattoo parlor, looking around at the art scattered about the walls. It was all really well done, as expected, from one of the highest rated shops in California. There was a buzz in the background, but he couldn’t see anyone getting tattooed. He quickly realized there were multiple rooms with curtains hanging down instead of doors. The sound coming from behind the curtains that were completely closed.
“What can I do for ya?” The woman behind the counter asked, splaying her hands on the counter and leaning on them.
“Well, considering we’re in a tattoo shop,” Jake said, smirking, “I was hoping I could get a tattoo.”

Only the aftermath changed everything he ever thought about Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw.

So now he was boarding on retirement, now he had fallen for his wingman. His omega had raised its ugly head and was starting to cause problems. Issues he had never faced before. So when the wingman he fell for, when Bradley tells him he's mated. Maverick doesn't expect it to hurt so much but he should have expected it. After all his Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, the unluckiest omega in the world.

Jake melts as he hears the voice of his son before he sees anything on the screen aside from the ceiling.
"Hey Andy!" Jake chokes out, the crushing emotions in his chest making it a little hard to keep his voice level. "I can't see you!"
"Andy, I said to wait for us, dude." Bob's exasperated sounding admonishment comes from a few feet away and then suddenly Jake's view is righted and he's staring at Bob and two freshly bathed twins in matching toy story pajamas.
