Confused as to why he was the one to inherit the crown, and uncertain on how to run a kingdom, a grieving Prince Henry and Princess Beatrice work up a plan to better the relations with a neighboring Queendom. Prince Alexander is approached by Beatrice to not only help ally their kingdoms, who have been on rocky terms for years, but her own family. Henry - overwhelmed by the preparations of becoming king, and smitten with the Prince only there for business - must battle with himself on what he wants and what he thinks his people need.

Catherine may be preparing sooner than later for the throne, as hard to swallow news regarding the Queen goes viral, meanwhile, on a brighter note- Phillip and Martha prepare to share some exciting news of their own only for it to turn sour.
While trying to make both Alex and Henry’s situation manageable, some unwelcome guests arrive to make it a bit more difficult.
Phillip learns truths he wish he never had...While all else is taking place, Zahra and Shaan prepare to be married. We see what June, Nora and Beatrice are up to while trying to keep everyone grounded as usual. It's chaotic, unnerving and also wildly exciting.

The solution? Henry must rewrite his upcoming sequel in a way that redeems the character in question completely.
The problem? Henry's attempt to get away from it all so he can actually write leads to a direct confrontation with Alex himself. After a series of clandestine kitchen encounters, the two of them end up with a very fragile truce. And even if he did, he'd never let some stupidly attractive blonde take his focus away from the goal that Alex has worked towards for years: winning the Austin Band Slam with his latino punk trio.
But when Henry comes crashing into Alex's life, with his intriguing piano pieces and piercing blue eyes and slow, purposeful kisses that make Alex burn with want, Alex finds that he might need to reevaluate his stance on both pop losers and distractions. Or maybe not. Maybe he’s better off keeping Henry at arm's length, since it's so painfully evident that Henry will never love him back.

They were sitting in their brownstone, Henry reading Persuasion by Jane Austen for the billionth time in his favorite armchair and Alex writing on one of his projects, Henry had not asked on which one specifically. His boyfriend was sitting on the plush carpet before their low couch table, looking almost unruffled. Henry had really not expected this topic to come up in that kind of way.
