The sounds of heavy pounding in the air caught his ears. Tommy looked up from under Wilbur’s dark tattered wings and watched as an Angel spread their own pure white wings over him. The helicopter searchlights created a halo of light around the figure’s blonde hair. One of their hands was holding onto a bucket hat on their head, the other outstretched as if offering help.
Tommy felt something ugly claw desperately in him. Tommy was not a bad person. At least in his opinion.

Walking by the Thames he's almost home and glad to be back in London if he was truly honest with himself.
However, the next thing he knows is that he's pulling himself out of a mass grave, confused, disorientated and inexplicably thirsty.
Jonathon had to adjust to life as not only a Doctor but a vampire as the Spanish Influenza ravages its way across London.

After a virus pops up suddenly in the city rats and starts killing people by the billions the survivors take refuge outside the cities which now belong to the rats. Scientists around the world are racing to find a vaccine before anyone else dies. In the interim, supplies are needed, and sometimes, the only place to get them is in the cities. Dean and Charlie take on that task, though now that scientists have managed to alter the virus so that it infects and kills the rats their numbers are slowly beginning to dwindle. Having eaten through practically everything available to them, they're now starving. Two humans arriving is like ringing the dinner bell. They have to move faster than the rats before they become their next meal.
