Lies where the bane of Alec’s existence. He hated it when people lied to him mostly his sister Isabelle or Jace, but he also hated lying to them. It felt like a never-ending circle, they lie to him about their whereabouts and he lies about his. It’s not his fault really lying is an instinct of a shadowhunters. They must lie to keep the mundane’s safe from the demons and they lie constantly to the downworlders to keep them in line so in truth it was bound to come full circle for it to become the norm for shadowhunters to lie amongst themselves.
The reason to why we lie are mostly to protect someone we care about, family, friends or lovers and in truth those are the ones we end up hurting the most because of our lies. Alec lies to his family to protect his relationship with a downworlder. -

Still blindly following Clave orders, Alec infuriates Magnus and gets kicked out of the loft. Magnus nurses his emotional wounds and Dot shows up. Lots of vodka, emotional upheaval, and recently compromised state with Azazael lead the doorway open for an unwelcome visit from one of Magnus's many uncles, A Prince of Hell, Samael -- with a personal agenda against Magnus and everything he holds dear. Alec unwittingly gets caught in the middle. This doesn't bode well for either of them in the (tumultous) aftermath.

This is my take on what would happen if Magnus Bane, the High Warlock of Brooklyn, one of the most powerful warlock to walk the earth had a friend to defend him and support him through thick and thin.
Basically canon up until S1EP11 and then I am throwing canon into a fire. Also will include interactions between Magnus and other downworlders and Magnus being the BAMF he is.
