A decade of mostly silent warfare has raged between the Animorphs and the Yeerk Empire. They started fighting as children and now that they're adults the war has become significantly more complicated. Jake seems like he wants to be told he can stop, yet Cassie still somehow manages to make it look easy when she's not letting her feelings get in the way. Rachel and Tobias still flaunt their happily ever after in progress and even though Ax still has his back, Marco wants to simplify things as usual. Mostly he'd like to be able to keep a job.

Anyway, he can't ask Jake to help him when his dumb heist goes wrong and he has to fix it with a double heist. Ax already has a best friend too, but he's bored enough and oblivious enough to be the perfect co-conspirator. But is Ax really the oblivious one?
(This is a full rewrite of a fic originally released in 2016, now with more jokes and a coherent plot.)
