After the defeat of Lady Bone Demon, Iris (LBD's Host) is hunted by many demons. This leads her to Macaque's dojo. And after some convincing and saving Rumble and Savage, Macaque agrees to train her so that Iris can protect herself. But as training goes on, MK begins to wonder why he's been seeing less and less of Iris. A fight breaks out and Iris goes missing. Will Macaque learn to trust someone who constantly haunts his memories and will Iris learn the hard ships of reality? Who knows, I sure do but you don't.

the door opened and MK picked up the faint scent of plums and...fire?
Mk jumped from his bed and saw Macaque in the doorway his hand on the doorknob. Macaque didn't look at him, he just stared blankly at the floor. Mk got up from his bed and approached the older monkey.
"M-Macaque?"
at those words Macaque looked up at Mk. he had a look the younger monkey had never seen in the older. There was none of his usual pride or sass. instead, there was relief, a smile.

the caring smile faded quickly as Macaque fell unconscious into Mk's arms

MK, a boy born and raised in an orphanage by the edges of a forest surrounded city, is often warned with stories of monsters and deadly creatures that lurk within the shadows. instead of finding himself terrified, like most other kids around his age were, he found himself intrigued. almost drawn to the riverside by the darkened foliage.
MK finds himself not heeding the warnings of staying away from the forest.
