but the hanzo genji brings back is much different than anyone was expecting: he seems to go through life with a sort of recklessness that only a man ready to die would have.
despite it all, jesse ends up *caring.*
can he break through hanzo's walls and discover what exactly is making this man tick? or will hanzo be left to rot in his cage, unable to redeem himself even unto the end?

When his brother asks him to join Overwatch, Hanzo sees it as a way to atome for his bad choices. The only problem is that everyone seems to hate him... Well not everyone, but McCree's aggressive flirting and reputation makes him err on the side of caution, no matter how attractive he finds the man or how soft his eyes are when they are alone. For Genji he will make a go at the bad situation, even if he has to put up with McCree trying to get in his pants. He'll just have to be careful that he doesn't let him.
Update: as you can most likely guess the fic has grown past the original premise but I am loathe to update the summary as it is a good introduction.
