Summary
Lately, the champion position has been getting boring for Red. No one comes along anymore to challenge him at the Indigo Plateau and he's tired of the monotony. That changes when he learns that the new eighth gym leader is none other than Green Oak-his old rival.
Green's just established his name as the new Viridian City gym leader when Red, his former rival, arrives to inspect the Viridian Gym. He doesn't know how to feel about Red-after all, they haven't seen each other in two years.
Follow Green and Red as they rebuild their friendship back from the bottom and hopefully become something more.

Red wakes up to a strange world. While it is like his with the same people, everyone is claiming that he's not Red. Nobody seems to be telling him the truth, and in a world full of lies and no information Red must defeat Team Rocket, an organization that has already been defeated by a Red that is missing.

Red nodded, still covering his mouth. He looked ecstatic.Red clearly knew he had Blue beat, but appreciated the goofy challenge anyway, before nodding enthusiastically in a way that said ‘I’d like to see you try!’ and ‘game on!’ without moving his lips.

Blue groaned in frustration. He just wasn't getting it. That monster is in a league of its own. In all the 148 wild Pokémon Blue had captured, nothing had even compared to this. Nothing could have prepared him for the brutality that this Pokémon displayed. Red had no idea what he was getting himself into. Somehow, even after reading the information from the diary in the Pokémon Mansion and seeing Blue so badly injured hadn't swayed him in the slightest. That's just how Red was, though. Too brave and ambitious for his own good.
