Now this “father” of his asked, truly uncomprehending:
Why live in this filthy world when you could have a throne?
He didn’t seem to realize Jack wouldn’t trade this for anything. His life is his own.

Summary
“I spent two weeks with your mom before you were born,” Claire tells him. She looks angelic (or, at least, the human’s concept of angels- pure, good, righteous) with the moonlight reflecting off her hair. He doesn’t say anything as she joins him in the grass, both sprawling out like the earth itself will claim them as one. “She had some stories from the White House. Talked about the goals your bio-dad had before he went off the deep end. How she wanted to go into politics because of him. Wanted to do some good in this world.”
“And now her legacy is me.”
“Damn right it is,” she tilts her head back in an attempt to see him but quickly abandons it in favor of flipping over, “look, it ain’t about parents and what they wanted. ‘Cept for when it is.”
“When is it?”
“When it’ll make you feel a little better to know that all your ma wanted was to know you’d have a family. She really- that was what she wanted me to be for you. A sorta sister to go with our shared sorta dad.”Synopsis:

Summary
Post-Episode 15x18 "Despair"
After Castiel's confession, Dean carries a spark of hope telling him this can't be the end. This spark is the strongest weapon for Dean, Sam and Jack in this final war. The enemy is God. The battlefield is an Earth devoid of humans, a Hell in rebellion against its queen, and a Heaven betrayed by its creator. And the stakes are everything and everyone they have ever cared about.
I've created a text "trailer" as a new kind of summary experience:

Jack looks down, and feels sick as he sees what he was just about to bring his foot down on. A small bird’s nest sits on the ground in front of him, gray-brown chicks inside, jostling each other and letting out panicked peeps.
Jack and Dean encounter a bird's nest during a hunt in the woods. Jack doesn't think about a lot of things. He does think about the birds.

Summary
Chuck is defeated and his power now belongs to Jack and Amara. They struggle with adjusting to their newly-shared existence, and with big questions such as, how can (almost) all-powerful beings avoid becoming what Chuck was?
What even is all that power good for when it doesn't allow Jack to save someone from the Empty who absolutely deserves being saved?
Who thought it was a good idea to hand all that power to two beings who, together, have spent less years on Earth than the average human child?
...And why is there suddenly black goo everywhere?

Summary
He’s not sure why it is only occurring to him now, that this man was at war, but something about the way he doesn’t mince words when talking about the casualties is bringing it home in the most brutal way.
…
When Jack Kline is tasked with clearing out his estranged grandfather’s farm, he doesn’t expect to find much about the quiet, gentle man he hardly knew. Maybe some old clothes, broken furniture. Perhaps a phonebook or two.
What he finds is a photograph that leads him through a maze of letters, and he follows them right into the hidden life of a man he discovers he never knew at all.
~*~*~
His letters are short and to the point—we went here, stayed this long, I saw this many people I know die.
…
For Dean Winchester, the war is a means to an end. A way to make some money and escape Kansas for a little while. His comrades are little more than people to watch his back while bullets fly by their heads.
Then, he finds the fighter pilot.
Everything changes.
In a moment of war, of love, and of borrowed time, nothing will ever be the same. -

Summary
He can’t do this, maybe he was meant to do this, but he can’t and he knows he should try to, that someone needs to take this on, but maybe at least he shouldn’t have to be alone. This power isn’t about him, none of this is about him, but he can’t help selfishly thinking what’s the point of having anything like this if he can’t have Cas back?
Do you ever think about how Jack deciding that maybe Godhood is one burden he shouldn't have to take on – for once – would actually be quite a good ending for him? -

Summary
Jack takes a deep breath. “Are you ready?” He’s never tried this before but he needs it to work. He can do this. He has to be able to do this for Cas.
“For what?”
”You’ll see. Just--” he reaches out for his dad’s hand and squeezes gently when Cas’ fingers folds around his “--hold on tight.”

Summary
Dean says that most people’s favorite day of the week is Friday or Saturday, because that’s when they get off school or work, but since Jack doesn’t have either, his favorite day of the week isn’t so limited. Jack’s decided his favorite day is Tuesday.
Everyone in the Bunker knows what that means.
