Summary
“Come off it, Iggy. You're saying that I shoulda let you die!?”
Ignis stares back at his prince, mouth set into a thin line. Unblinking. Resolute.
“Oh shit,” Noctis mumbles. He winds both hands into his already messy hair and pulls - a familiar gesture of sheer frustration that Ignis must’ve witnessed a thousand times. Directed at his father, the Council, Gladio, schoolwork… but almost never Ignis himself.
“You actually think that, don’t you?” the prince groans. “You think your life is worthless compared to mine!?”
“I am not in the habit of saying things I do not mean.”

Summary
Ignis Scientia isn’t the kind of person who WANTS to get married.
Being the Hand to the Prince of Lucis is his devotion. He was selected at a young age, sculpted to the position, in the expectation that he, like his parents and their parents as well, would present as a beta and be the perfect cool, collected mind to guide and advise the young Lucian prince.
But now it's clear. He is no beta. And if he wants to continue in Noct's service, he will have to find someone to marry. Now.

Summary
Noctis is light— this is what Ignis decides at the mere age of five. It contradicted the midnight of his hair and the depths of the oceans within his eyes, yet it was the complete, unutterable truth; a smile that rivaled the sun and a warmth unlike any he’d felt or ever will feel. It was at first sight that Ignis felt that radiance and warmth; both hands kindly enveloping his own, tenderness and sincerity.

Summary
It’s not any easier. It’s harder. It’s worse. Noctis feels for that magic again, to let it build and swirl and flow, he tries to breathe it in and swallow it down and be one with it. It’s in his veins, in his head, in his heart, he was born with it, and so it should come to him as naturally as breathing.
He tries to push it through Ignis, from his own fingertips and into the warm skin in his grasp, the way he had with Gladio. It hurts to even try, it steals his breath away. And nothing happens.
| Noctis pushes himself too hard when he finally gives Ignis and Gladio access to his magic.

Summary
In traditional settings, five steps of proper courting were to be followed and accepted by any Beta or Omega before romantic interest can be expressed. His father had drilled that into Noctis’ head before he’d even presented.
Nowadays, properly stepped courting wasn’t necessarily commonplace, usually only seen in romantic films or those shitty novels Gladio tended to read while he had the prince doing warm ups. Basically everyone knew what they were, but it wasn’t as strictly necessary that they be followed.
Even if this wasn’t necessarily required, there was a strange part of Noctis that wanted to court Prompto. He deserved it, after all, to have everything done right, doted over the way that Omegas before him had been.
_____Because of his status, Noctis needs to go about courting very carefully. Despite the work he puts towards it, it doesn't quite seem like Prompto is taking the hint.
Prompto doesn't take the hint until it basically smacks him in the face. -

Noctis is head over heels for you and hasn't had the courage to confess to you. It's eating him alive with how love-sick he is. His thoughts bleed into his dreams where you may or may not make a cameo there.
AKA:
I randomly had an FFXV brain-rot moment, especially with Noct, and decided to write a fic and this was the outcome cuz it sounded good in my head.

Summary
“Your Majesty,” Ignis says. “They’re ready for you.”
“Thank you, Ignis,” Dad says. “We’ll see you in a moment.”
And then, blessedly, the throne room is empty of everyone but Noctis and Ignis.
Ignis steps close, like earlier in the fitting room, adjusts the chains on Noctis’ shoulder where they've been set askew. His hands stroke across Noctis’ shoulders and Noctis should be used to that by now, but it makes the hair on the back of his neck stand up, makes his heart thump so hard it must be audible.
“Back in order,” Noctis asks breathlessly.
“Exceptionally handsome,” Ignis says, voice low to match. “Just like always.”Alternatively: It's Noctis' eighteenth birthday so it's time for him to be presented to the world. Officially.

Nyx smirks. “Tell you what. If you can get Ignis to sleep with you within one week from today, I’ll give you five hundred crowns. If not…well, you owe me.”

Summary
On the way out in the road, the Chocobros get chased and attacked mid ride by one of the Empire's Imperial Dropships. Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio have to break a few driving laws to defend their Prince and get him to safety as quickly as possible and help him recover during the aftermath. Maybe things wouldn't have been as serious if Noctis didn't suffer with severe motion sickness and had to suffer through it the entire time.

Summary
How many times has he allowed Noct's tired, seemingly sullen responses to let his blood boil and devolved into a scathing lecture without ever attempting to find the why of that behaviour? What he'd taken for apathy had been depression. The signs had been there, and he'd ignored them. For months.
