After Emilie Agreste passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident, her husband, Gabriel has become stricken with grief, a condition only exacerbated upon finding a spellbook and a box of five miraculouses, both holding the promise and hope that once all the miraculouses are united, their casters can obtain a wish for each of themselves, now the only thing standing between Gabriel Agreste, his assistant Nathalie Sancour, and his family bodyguard Simon 'Gorilla' Francis, is that fact that the peacock and the butterfly miraculouses are missing.
Master Wang Fu is the last of the nearly dead order of Miraculous Guardians; having travelled for decades, he has finally tracked down the Miraculous box. However, Master Fu is old and weak, his body is slowly failing him, all he has left is a Keen eye for character and the Miraculouses of the Butterfly and Peacock, now he must choose two champions to carry his torch forward and retrieve the Miraculouses, ensuring his order's mission isn't failed.

Marinette is dealing with knowing Adrien is Chat while on the school trip to Gotham, while also having to deal with more of Lila's lies. It wasn't enough to turn everyone against her she guessed, apparently Lila was set on making sure Marinette felt no happiness. But Marinette makes friends in Gotham, friends that are willing to throw down for her. Out of all things she could have guessed would happen on this trip, falling in love was not one of them. She also didn't expect to reveal her identity to the Batfamily, she also didn't expect to find out their identities either.
Meanwhile Adrien is trying to figure out how to make Marinette his finally, one way or another.

But this world is full of complications, mob bosses and annoying rich people and wasps and cursed swords and all kinds of feelings, horny and otherwise.
Nathaniel Kurtzberg, a demon hiding in a small neighborhood in a big city, can't avoid trouble forever, and Marc could be his saving grace or his damnation.
