3 Works in Nathaniel Howe/Cassandra Pentaghast
The war is ended. The sky is healed. Now the real work begins. Cullen finds himself as Divine Victoria's Right Hand and having to balance the needs of a shattered but regrowing Chantry against the former Templars he is trying to help, the red lyrium still growing across the South, and the tug of his new family.
*NOTE* This is still a WIP, and far from complete!

Taking extra precautions, Cullen and Evie protect their budding romance from the Inner Circle and their adversaries. Almost as soon as their relationship begins, the couple must separate as Evie and her comrades travel to the Western Approach. She finds herself surrounded by both Corypheus’ henchmen and her own personal enemies, specifically those who supported her brothers’ killer. The Inquisitor's growing emotions for Cullen force her to recognize the associations with her abused body and her guarded heart. Alone, the Inquisitor suffers continuous setbacks as she battles both her internal and external demons.
At Skyhold, the Inquisition’s advisors run the organization alone. Emotions run high throughout the fortress with each new troubling situation. With Evie hundreds of leagues away, Cullen slowly succumbs to his worsening withdraw symptoms. The consequences of his past decisions and actions plague him mercilessly.
The Inquisition may fight to save the Grey Wardens, but it may fall to their mutual enemy: Fear.

Cullen’s father told him some encouraging life advice: marry your best friend. With five mischievous childhood best friends, he imagined someday he would put that guidance to good use. However, a tragedy during his high school senior year nearly destroys the group’s comradery, and they all agree to never date one another to avoid love shattering their friendship.
For the first time in eleven years, the friends all live together in Haven again and are as close as ever. A marriage proposal and a discovered skeleton suddenly forces the group to reevaluate their lives, specifically what happened that nearly drove them apart. Heavy memories, regrets, shame, and lies consume the friends, while choices since high school catch up with them. Current events bring back their sorrowful pasts with the potential to either rip them apart or finally realize what they denied for far too long.
