Autumn "Dove" Bradshaw has had a rough life. Her father died when she was just four-months-old in what people in the Navy call a 'accidental mishap'. Growing up, she heard stories of her father and how he had saved her grandfather from time to time. Hearing these stories, it inspired her to become a pilot and every time she entered that cockpit, she couldn't help but remember the words her grandfather/surrogate father had told her when she was around ten, asking about her father.
"No matter what, you don't eject until that canopy is clear. No matter what anyone tells you, make sure the canopy is clear."

Maverick knew if he ever wanted to get far in his career. He had to push aside everything that made him an omega. That if he wanted to fly for his country, his second gender couldn't be a problem.
So now he was boarding on retirement, now he had fallen for his wingman. His omega had raised its ugly head and was starting to cause problems. Issues he had never faced before. So when the wingman he fell for, when Bradley tells him he's mated. Maverick doesn't expect it to hurt so much but he should have expected it. After all his Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, the unluckiest omega in the world.

Ever since he could remember, Bradley wanted to be a pilot. When he was seventeen his dad, and Ice, pulled his papers from the Naval Academy. When he was barely 22 they did it again and pulled his wings out from underneath him. Stamped with a Do Not Fly he’d been delegated to Catapult Officer. After a particularly long deployment, and a very short fight, Bradley gets his chance at becoming a Naval Aviator as he’s always dreamed of.
Once he’s got his wings of gold he meets Jake “Hangman” Seresin, another young pilot. He’s cocky, headstrong, handsome, brash, witty, striking, and most of all oblivious to the fact that Bradley is not flight deck crew anymore, or the son of the Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. So maybe Bradley has the hots for the obnoxious pilot who looks like a Greek god. And maybe he doesn’t want to scare him off. Sue him.

Summary
Hitting the tarmac atop that aircraft carrier, Lieutenant Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw takes the most rewarding breath of relief. It tasted sweeter than sound of cheering surrounding the broken down, bag of ass F-14 they escaped with. But not as sweet as Maverick's arms around him, hugging him tightly like he used to do all those years ago.
But things turn sickeningly sour when Maverick collapses in his arms, injured and bleeding. Rushed into to the clinic, Rooster's left to wait in bitter guilt that it's cause of him Maverick is hurt, even if the others are too kind to point it out. All the years spent rebuffing the Captain, letting his anger stew against the man who's now fighting for his life, he'd give anything to make up for it. Anything.
So, hiding the sharp stitch in his side is the least Rooster can do, right?

Evan Buckley was just a few hours old when he was abandoned at a small church in Pennsylvania. With the identify of his family unknown, Evan was sent into foster care where he'd spend the next 17 years. Eventually, he'd join the Navy SEALs in an attempt to find the one thing he's always longed for: family.
Considering that he has the worst luck in the world, it was only inevitable that he would lose that family as well. He spent three years in the Navy and two more trying to run from his past before finally moving his entire life across the country to LA. He didn't plan on becoming so attached to his team when he arrived at Station 118 but he soon finds out it was unavoidable.

Bradley ends up stranded at a gay bar after forgetting he took muscle relaxers post mission - Jake is his knight in a shining lyft. Sort of.
Or, Bradley is a little too drunk and a little too willing to do as Jake says.
...“Bradley, I swear if you don’t put your hands in your lap right now,” Hangman seethes.
Surprising both of them, Bradley does just that. As suddenly and as sharply as if he’d been called to attention. Well – as quickly as his brain can manage anyway.
Hangman’s gaze is far too assessing for Bradley’s comfort.
Biting his lip, he shoots his hand back out to turn off the radio before placing it back in his lap.
“I will tan your behind,” Hangman warns.
Somehow, Bradley believes him.
“Maybe in your dreams, Bagman,” Bradley huffs.
“Aw, honey. It’s too late for that now. All this time…all you needed was a firm hand.”
As much as Bradley wants to protest – the words stick in his throat. -

There was a buzz in the background, but he couldn’t see anyone getting tattooed. He quickly realized there were multiple rooms with curtains hanging down instead of doors. The sound coming from behind the curtains that were completely closed.
“What can I do for ya?” The woman behind the counter asked, splaying her hands on the counter and leaning on them.
“Well, considering we’re in a tattoo shop,” Jake said, smirking, “I was hoping I could get a tattoo.”
