Summary
His pulse was rushing inside his ears, lungs burning from the ragged breaths he took. He hardly noticed the pain in his limbs when he crushed down to the ground, knees shuffling against the dirt underneath him.
It was over.
“Pathetic.” The voice of the man who just beat him rushed through his ears. He had just bested the Warrior of Light, reduced him to a kneeling bundle on the ground that bled from several cuts. And yet, there was no pride in the taunting voice, just disappointment.
Almost as if he had expected him to be better, to be the saviour the people of Eorzia painted him to be. If only they knew that all his deeds wouldn’t have been possible without the one or other soul helping him out, accompanied by a large portion of luck.
He knew, better than anyone else, that he was no hero. -

Summary
Warrior of Light. It was a title bestowed upon a hero of great courage, blessed by the light of the Mothercrystal. Behind every title though, there was a person. This is her story.

With the quelling of the End of Days the star has been given a new chance at life, and so too has a man Willow long thought dead. But being a Warrior of Light means you put out one fire simply to have another ignite in its place. After the destruction of Hydaelyn, the Aetherial Sea divided between thirteen shards begins unraveling. And who better to solve the problem than the Scions and their very reluctant, unhappy to be there, expert in the underworld? Now the Warrior of Light and her Ascian partner are stuck trying to save the world yet again while figuring out who they are to each other now after so many years.
sequel to ‘eros’ though you don’t necessarily have to read it, just understand this takes place directly after Endwalker

Summary
Poised, elegant, disciplined and practically radiating holiness would be a few words to describe a paladin worthy of the Scion's title of "Warrior of Light" but it's far from what they got: a loud-mouthed, sinful and swearing spur-clad country girl with a good heart and even better sense of duty from the dust and sands of Southern Thanalan. She may not be the hero that they -or the world- envisioned but deep down, she's the one they need.
This work of fiction is narrated (mostly) from my WoL's perspective through her journey from ARR all the way up to SHB, including some of her own backstory and personal connections. For the most part, her story follows in-between main story quests and focuses more on her personal development and relationships and those of her friends/comrades in response to those events. My memory is a little hazy about the specifics of the storyline but I hope you enjoy it all the same! Lastly and most importantly, I wrote this work of fiction as a way to work through and deal with my own trauma responses that came with the FFXIV storyline so I ask you to please be mindful. <3 Thank you <3

Summary
The Crystal Exarch has labored tirelessly for nigh on a century to call the Warrior of Light to Norvrandt. The First reflection is in need of salvation, the Source is once again on the brink of Calamity, and she alone can help two worlds avert such unthinkable tragedy.
As time passes, however, the Exarch finds himself unconcerned with salvation on such a grand scale. What was once love borders on obsession - and he decided long ago that he would see her returned to his side and his alone - or he will see to it that the star itself suffers the consequences.
After all, in a world engulfed by everlasting light, there must be a place for the darkness to retreat. And what better place than in the heart of a single man?

Summary
Sometimes it takes almost losing something precious in order to realize how precious it really was.
He looked down at the sleeping Hearer and felt an urge to brush the dark hair back from his face, which he stubbornly ignored. Giving in to that urge would mean admitting that at some point he had started to look forward to the times when his duties brought him to Gridania, and the nighttime trysts that often accompanied them–and that the emotion he felt when Zhai’a went out of his way to avoid being seen with him when he had business with the Seedseer Council was hurt.
