Maybe it was the fact that his instincts screamed at him. Screamed that, in there, there was someone that desperately, desperately needed to be saved.
(Or: Midoriya Izuku finds what looks like a building-shaped hole in reality, and against both the pleas of others and his own better judgment, decides to investigate. What happens next will change everything.)

The class 1-A New Years party was fairly normal. Karaoke, food, and hanging with friends! Besides the additional flirt or two it was pretty chill.......until someone brought out the alcohol. Things got insane pretty quickly. Denki and Kirishima made a makeshift pole dancing area and soon Uraraka was pole dancing and Tsuyu figured out she was lesbian. But even in all this excitement, Izuku was in the corner alone. He was sober so he refused to drink and he wasn’t much of a party person. He preferred to be alone or to be training then at a party. And he was glad he wasn’t in the excitement. People were hooking up and making out while he was in the corner alone. And he liked it that way. Until someone came up to him. Izuku suddenly got pinned on the wall. “AH- WHA-“ Izuku yelled, as he felt two hands pin his hands on the wall. He looked up and saw him. He recognized that blonde hair and deep red eyes anywhere. “K-k-Kacchan!?”

Izuku had one dream - leaving his mark on the world as an extra-ordinary reporter. At least that's what he thought. At 25 he's just another young omega in the big city working a mundane job as a glorified office worker.
That all changes when he's given a chance promotion from cable TV anchor to field reporter. Suddenly he's following some of the most renowned heroes known to the world.
