Kanata sighs, running a careful hand through those brown locks. “Silly rogue. Of course I did. I have to, same as everyone else, right?”
(The nighttime winter air is far too cold for either of them to be out here and yet Kanata reaches for his stubborn rogue and tries to keep them both afloat. It is enough, somehow, for now.)

“oh thank god, you're 'alive'!”
Slowly, Madara turned his head as much as he could. “Kanata....san...?” he mumbled, voice barely above a whisper. His vision was swimming, but that blue mop of hair he would always recognize. He didn't know why Kanata was there, but that was quite literally the least of his worries.
“I'm...sorry, Kanata....” he attempted to smile at him, but was interrupted by another coughing fit. It kept becoming harder to breathe – let alone talk – as he was pretty sure they had torn his lung, causing blood to flow freely into his airway until he choked on it.

Chiuse gli occhi, ricordandolo vivo in immagini nitide che erano impresse nella sua memoria. Quella brutta faccenda con Narukami, di qualche mese prima, doveva essere messa a tacere in qualche modo – altrimenti la reputazione di Arashi, una tra le sue ragazze migliori, sarebbe stata inghiottita da uno scandalo assolutamente intollerabile.
Rei rise, riportandolo alla realtà.
