The thing about Georges Danton is that he will get what he wants. What he wants is five-two with green eyes and is aggressively stubborn about ignoring his heats.

No matter, because Georges Danton can also always figure out what other people want, whether they want to admit it or not.

    Summary

Three years after John André's alleged death, the subjects of his research are ready to take his former financial backers to court –
    - but what happens when he is revealed to have been living under a pseudonym, still in clandestine communication with one Benedict Arnold? What happens when events back in Europe reveal that André’s proposed methods have been put into widespread practice?
This time, the fight for justice is taken up by the original offenders and taken to new fields as five powerful families exploit sport in the service of statecraft as institution and establishment are increasingly marginalised by self-serving partisanism and public apathy.

    Summary

Eleonore Duplay believed in the Revolution. She believed in the Republic.

She believed that nothing else could be taken from her after Thermidor. Her lover, brother-in-law and mother all gone within weeks of each other. What else could she possibly lose to the Revolution?

But there was still more blood within her to pay to the Republic and further for her heart to break.

    XXX

Grantaire has good reasons for being cynical in regards to Revolution. Year II stole his life from him before he was born. He's right to doubt the people, the ones who stayed inside when his father was assassinated. His death is one more line of tragedy for the de Robespierres.

He doesn't tell the Les Amis of his parentage, because why should it matter to them? He disappoint them in different ways, instead.

    Summary

It's years after the American Revolution has come to an end, and US treasurer Alexander Hamilton is still reeling over the loss of his son and the effect the Reynolds Pamphlet had on him and his family when he makes an unexpected discovery. Marquis de Lafayette, the war hero and French immigrant is back in America... but for quite a different reason than before. France is in ruins and innocent people are being sent to the Guillotine left and right. Lafayette was chased out of his home and fled to America in a desperate attempt to live. But the former general has a dark story to tell... one that will leave him and other immigrants in a world of total darkness. Unless they fight back, the true Reign of Terror is only beginning.

« Je suis ici dans l’attente de la Convention, comme vous le savez aussi bien. Je suis arrivé aujourd’hui.
    - La plupart préféreraient le repos à leur participation.
    - Je ne suis pas la plupart. Si d’aucuns se plaisent à rester à la lisière des grands événements, je n’y ai jamais ressenti que l’exil. »

Où Saint-Just arrive à Paris et perturbe sans le vouloir le bon ordre de la vie privée de Robespierre.

    Summary

So: the monarchy does not gut itself on their shrine, haruspex or offrande, but sputters out instead, gives like a tired lung. The republic is never born, never shaped by their hands; it derives, la grande suivante, a mere tally at the end of the day.

In this world, it's 2019, France is a presidential republic, and the separation of powers is nothing more than a dinner anecdote.
