TK has had problems since the day the towers fell. He has never been a normal kid and now as an adult he wasn't a normal young man. Escaping to Austin doesn't mean he can outrun his problems and it isn't long before his dad has to start bringing in the team to help manage his disorder. He is convinced that after Alex he is doomed to have nobody love him again, but Carlos Reyes is determined to not only prove him wrong, but to show him he might have never been loved in the first place.

All Bailey ever wanted was a family to love and accept her and as time passes she fears that she may have lost her chance when her parents were killed. Until finally she meets a group of people who are different, fire house 126. The 126 soon shows her that not only do they want to love and care for her but they also show her that you don’t have to be blood to be family, it is as much chosen as it is given.
