Summary
Edward Teach removes himself from everyday life to escape an old history that he's sure is still following him. He's been living in the mountains by a small town for years, living on his self-established homestead to stay as off the grid as he can. He seems to be the epitome of rugged manliness; something a soft-handed, well-off man admires greatly. He's got the life Stede Bonnet could only imagine in his distant day dreams.
So when the well-off man wants to help out and learn the ropes of how to live such a rugged life, what can Ed do but try and help him keep an axe blade out of his leg?
If he survives the experience, maybe Ed can start returning all the pieces of Stede's wardrobe he keeps collecting. -

Summary
This was everything she’d desired and more and yet nowhere near enough. His thumb gathered her slick and spread it upwards. His lips sucked and nibbled at her throat. Mary wanted it to last forever and also needed him to stop and enter her already.
She’d completely forgotten he had a second hand until it pressed against her opening. Fingers pushed around her edges, testing the boundary and finding them wet and wanting. Mary shouted, first in surprise but then in a long, glorious moan that embodied the pleasure she felt radiating through her whole body from her center.
Or, Mary's first time having sex with Doug is markedly different from her wedding night

Summary
‘Right! This is it! Places everyone! Look scary! Phasers at the ready!’ He snapped his fingers at Lucius. ‘Hail the ship.’
It took a while for the ship to answer, but answer they did. Two men of a species Stede was unfamiliar with popped up on the screen, looking rather confused. He put on his best scary voice and said, ‘Surrender! You have no chance of escape!’
Or: Stede is a human from a cushy Federation colony, stuck in an unhappy marriage and a boring life. He runs off to become a space pirate with a bunch of weirdoes he collects on the way, and then an unfortunate incident with some Klingons almost costs him his life, but fortunately for him, the infamous Blackbeard saves his life. And sticks around. -

Summary
"Stede had decided to keep it all rather simple, in the end. As soon as he realised he was in love with this ‘Ed’, his first priority was getting back out onto the ocean to find him. No delays in the form of planning an over-the-top, theatrical end to his life on land."
AU in which Stede decides to keep his 'death' simple without the fuckery, which results in some rumours circling about The Widow Bonnet's potential involvement. Funny thing about rumours, sometimes they can even travel out to the sea.

Summary
1717. The Widow Bonnet has just buried her husband. For the second time.
Instead of wallowing in her grief, the widow closes the chapter of her life centered around Stede and embraces her own freedom and peace.
Things do not go as planned.
Or
Following Stede’s ‘demise,’ Mary receives increasingly strange and unwelcomed guests.
*
"Mary wasn’t sure, precisely, what had awoken her in the middle of the night. Perhaps it was the fog of tobacco smoke enveloping her bed. Or the crinkle of leather hunting for a more comfortable position in its seat, followed by the sound of bootheels coming to rest on the small table beside her head. Or maybe, perhaps, it was the steady chipping away of the wood on said table, as the phantom in her bedroom casually tossed a knife into her furniture, plucked it out, and tossed it again."

Summary
It was a Saturday when Mary Allamby Bonnet passed away. But it was a Wednesday when Stede Bonnet's life truly began, as that was the day when he had an important meeting with Louis' teacher
Stede Bonnet is trying, really really trying, to navigate this new world he has found himself in. A new town. A new house. A new business. And a new life as a single father. And perhaps, if he can somehow manage, he can finally be authentically Stede.
And Louis' kindergarten teacher who also happened to be Alma's theater director, Ed "Blackbeard" may just be the wonderful surprise of Stede, and the children's lives.
And of course the crew of Queen Anne's Progressive School and The Lighthouse Cafe and Booksellers are there to help along the way.
