    Summary

Edmund Bertram is hopelessly in love with Mary Crawford, but she won't agree to marry him unless he goes beyond the gap in the wall and brings back one of the two falling stars they saw during his last proposal of marriage.

Tom Bertram, in debt and getting to be something of a wanted man in Wall, decides to accompany his brother on this magical adventure.

Susan Price (cross after a really bad fall) just wants to get her injured sister, Fanny, to safety, and she has no patience with the two brothers who come flying into their lives and (quite literally) take them captive.

Henry Crawford is a powerful warlock, hoping to obtain the heart of a fallen star for his uncle the Admiral, who desires endless youth, but he doesn't count on being completely beguiled by one of them, much less could he ever imagine he has a pre-engaged heart to attack...

    Summary

Fanny's childhood was lit up by the presence of her brother, William. He was a beacon of hope, her lighthouse, guiding her to home shores in the midst of a stormy sea. When they were little, he often gifted her little trinkets and baubles, remnants of treasure sifted from salt pans and tidelines, artefacts she collected in a Danish biscuit tin that had seen better days.

Now ensconced at Mansfield Park, Fanny draws on the memories and maintains a constant correspondence, something that brings her incandescent joy.

    Summary

Despite her initial refusal of his proposal, faced with Edmund's marriage to Mary Crawford, Fanny relents and agrees to reward Henry Crawford with her hand in marriage, a choice she repents when years later she discovers his infidelity.

Faced with returning to Everingham and the man who betrayed her (as Mary wishes her to) or being brave and starting a new life on her own, she finds an unexpected protector and friend in Tom Bertram, now a baronet and the owner of Mansfield Park.

But how far will Tom go to ensure Fanny is not forced to return to the life she's left behind? How much is he willing to give up to help her?

    Summary

When the house in Camden Place has a delay in availability, Sir Walter and Elizabeth opt for a visit to his other Elliot nephew. The same Elliot and his Lady whose cottage near Dartford, Robert Ferrars spoke so highly of. This tale follows the train of consequences of two of Ms. Austen's more unlikeable characters finding a kindred spirit in each other. Many larger changes for our beloved favorites come from this one meeting.

A crossover fiction covering characters from Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Pride and Prejudice.

    Summary

The year 1796 sees England as a scandal-ridden country. Forced marriages are all too common, fathers of young ladies make sure to always have a marriage license ready, wealthy gentlemen make sure to never be alone in a room with a female, not even their own mothers. In the county of Hertfordshire, for example, no fewer than 78 % of the newly-wed couples give ‘to avoid a scandal’ as the main reason for their marriage (compared to 43 % in 1785), a recent survey showed.

Dire times force the British government to enact drastic measures, and Elizabeth Bennet is forced to seek out the education of a chaperon in order to comply with the new laws.

Mary is tired of her mother's persistent attempts to get her married off. In order to satisfy her mother, she concocts a scheme - pretend to court the newly arrived Henry Crawford, who surprisingly agrees to it. She knows she'll never fall for a person like Henry - arrogant and infuriating. However, Henry is not considered to be the most charming person in the neighborhood for nothing.

    Summary

Tom Bertram meets Fanny Price in Portsmouth and is shocked by the state of poverty and neglect in which the delicate young lady lives. So he makes the rash decision to marry her and bring her back to Mansfield with him as his wife.

After all, what good is having a clergyman for a brother if you can't get married when you want to?

But Tom never stopped to wonder if Fanny would be welcomed in her new home, or if he'd be responsible enough to look after her (he's not).

And when Tom suddenly falls gravely ill, Mary Crawford (who isn't even betrothed to Edmund yet) begins planning her future as Mistress of Mansfield, unthinkingly displacing Fanny, who she considers all but a widow already.

It's most certainly not the fairy-tale ending Fanny or Tom envisioned for themselves.

With the looming fear of an uncertain future for his wife, Tom realises he needs to put away childish things for good and become a man worthy of inheriting Mansfield at long last.
