She’d scroll through her feed on Instagram and she’d pop up, shot after shot she’d see and she’d feel her heart ache with want, because before her injury she’d wanted to be Kelley O’Hara. She’d wanted to be the one that made those saves and made those runs. But after a nasty collision at an away game when she was in college, Emily made the decision to walk away from the sport that she loved and that she’d taken for granted.
So imagine her surprise when she, five years later after her injury, runs into that very same person at the most unexpected place possible. And that run in might just turn out to be the best thing that's ever happened to her.
