Summary
Saw pulls him into a backroom, after.
Luthen keeps his hand on the gun he pilfered from Tubes. Saw won’t try to hurt him—not here, not now, not without serious reason—but one can never know, when he gets like this.
Except all Saw does is shove Luthen into hard rock and press close against him. He grins at him—teeth, glinting eyes. All slightly manic, but nothing Luthen hasn't worked with before.
“Now?” He asks, wary, and Saw laughs.
“Why not? You’ve never objected before.”
Luthen wants to say that before hasn’t ever been minutes after sealing the death of thirty men—plus Kreegyr—but Saw already knows this. Luthen won't find any satisfaction in riling him up again. He lets himself press back against Saw—his armor is hard and full of edges that dig uncomfortably into him. It’s a blessed relief: it feels something like penance.

Summary
He looked haggard, beyond the toll of the receding adrenaline and grief sure to lodge firm, the sort of grief that could only come from the sort of love that would drive a hunted man to put himself in precisely the time and place every last predator expected him to be.
Rule number three – well. There’d be time for all that.

Summary
The Empire discover one of the Infinity Stones during a routine survey. This goes about as well as you might expect.
A lone survivor is imbued with incredible power, power both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance seek to control, while Cassian Andor finds himself caught in the middle along with an amnesiac Dedra Meero. Her past and former allegiances a mystery, can a former ISB Supervisor and Rebel Intelligence Captain find common ground? Can atonement be found for a formerly loyal daughter of the Empire?

Summary
Luthen, pale violet hair curling around his ears, lifts an eyebrow at him. There’s the barest hint of amusement in the corner of his mouth.
“There is safety in blending in, Andor,” he says, and reaches to pluck a demure-looking leaf from a shrub. His long sleeves pool around his elbows as he does—his robes are mint-green and velvety, stamped with round purple petals, and they look way too expensive to be gardening in. Cassian spots a smudge of dirt in the jut of Luthen’s wrist, where it peeks out from under his gloves, and thinks about smearing it.
“This is not blending in,” Cassian says. He thinks about Aldhani—military uniforms and steady marching. “This commands attention.” Luthen hums.
“Of the right sort.”
He’s watering some of the pots now, strewn around in what Cassian is sure is a perfectly calculated fashion. The sight of Luthen holding a dainty little watercan is enough to fill Cassian with an odd sort of manic glee—he thinks about this man crouching elbow-to-elbow with him rigging a car to explode and marvels at it. The same hands, brushing a drop of water off of a petal. It’s asynchronous.

Summary
Cassian remembers fighting against him. Running from Ferrix, running from the Rebellion, running from him. What for? He ran right back to here.
The only thing running now is the cold metallic kiss of the razor.
(Who are you, Cassian wonders. But like always, it is the wrong question. He knows enough by now—all the wrong questions, Cassian—to not voice it out loud.)

Summary
Kleya would have called it a long time ago, he suspected.
He wondered how close she’d let it come, before the tight pull of her eyes, the questioning look she gave him at the start and close of every day in the gallery, yielded to questions or lectures or demands.
Sometimes, he wondered if she grasped how deeply ran his bloodlust. How dearly he wanted this, not for the Rebellion, but for his own satisfaction. To hit them hard, humiliate them, sit back and watch them descend into paranoia and contend with the dilemma of how to staunch the wound after so long believing themselves infallible, untouchable, invincible.

Cassian still wasn’t sure if he should trust Luthen. But it was probably the best place to go. He could have gone with his friends, yes. Should’ve he? He’d find that out one day.

Summary
“If Andor were double-crossing us, they’d have taken us down by now.”
Kleya scoffed. Truthfully, he deserved every ounce of her derision. “Or the ISB is taking their time painting a very detailed picture and placing all of their assets, so that when they do strike, they can sweep it all up at once.”
It wasn’t a headache, really. An insistent, escalating pressure, the weight of his own compromise, all of the allowances he’d made for Cassian Andor from the first they met and fought their way out of the warehouse on Ferrix. To the moment he’d offered himself up, begged to be killed or to be made useful; and how Luthen had used, without hesitation or remorse.
He couldn’t decide if it bothered him more, to think himself capable of misjudgment so severe, or to think Andor capable of such skillful and protracted betrayal.

Summary
Cassian’s just left a bad job behind, and he needs the kind of rocksure familiarity and comfort that Luthen just doesn’t deal in. He knows his handler will track him down, but for just one night he has to snatch hold of the most reliable love left to him.

Sometime after season 1. No, I can’t remember if they say where they’re escaping to at the end of Rix Road, so I just landed everyone in a refugee camp on an unnamed planet. Established friends with benefits but they're idiots who can't admit how much they care for each other - I see y'all talking about how Cass and Brasso should have hooked up, and I thought 'why just one time?'. But I warn you - it's sad >:3

She was blind when she hit the floor. Feeling something for the first time in she didn’t know how long. She waited for the blaster fire to end her life. Then the pain hit her and she heard voices. Real human voices. Not the rasping vocals of grievous.

Summary
Luthen was the sort to only trust people as far as he could toss them, if not a lot a less than that, so when his doubts about Tay Kolma grow, he finds the only way to rectify the situation is by dragging them both to a place of no return because ignorance is bliss and the knowledge of the Empire's true power and monstrosity is too overwhelming for him to burden alone.

Summary
When he vowed twenty years ago that he would never fall for another suicidal cause, Cassian had unwittingly included one exception: that if another dazzling being like Maarva or Clem swooped down from the heavens to claim him as their own—if they magically knew his secrets, desired him for both his usefulness and his flaws, and above all refused to give him up—then he would follow them to the ends of the galaxy. Otherwise, he would remain a cynical fuckup.
Or, a scene from Cassian’s days in Luthen’s rebellion.
