Summary
Link feels most like himself in the wild, with the wind in his hair, grass stains on his knees and a mysterious wolf by his side. He wakes up in the shrine of resurrection with nothing but destiny to his name, and the quest he has laid out before him will be a long and arduous one. How will he reconcile what he has to be with who he really is? With the weight of the world on his shoulders, and not nearly enough sleep in his system, that may be more difficult than he realizes.

Born of their love came four more blessings: A King, a Queen, a Gift, and a Curse.
At least that was what the Goddesses had told him, and as King Sidon looked out into the Domain, he was afraid of their prophecy coming true. He was prepared to do anything for his children. He was prepared to die for them. But as Sidon turned away from the window and looked into the mirror, he could only frown.
Things had gotten so much more complicated in the last twenty-four hours.
"Are you alright?" Link asked, wrapping his arms intentionally around Sidon's waist.
"I'm...scared," Sidon admitted, "Yesterday, I was so sure of what I needed to do and now..."
"I know," Link sighed holding him tighter before taking hold of his hands. Sidon forced himself to look into his husband's eyes as Link added, "But I'm not going anywhere. We'll get through this together."
"You promise?"
"I promise."

After waking up in what may of may not be a coffin, Link decides to save the world because a voice in his head told him so. He fights a bokoblin, flees from a chu chu and decided to never use remote bombs ever again. The road to Hyrule Castle is long and filled with dangers. He is going to need all the help he can get and on the way he meets friends, enemies, and perhaps, people who are both.

Because BotW is an open world game, just copying it down would be boring. Searching for koroks hours on end may be fun gameplay but it does not make for a good novel. As such, many things have been changed. For example, weapons aren't made out of glass, the Sheikah Slate's map is broken and it cannot store huge amounts of everything, and character interractions may be a little different too.
The Legend of Zelda and all of it's characters belong to Nintendo. I claim no ownership of this novel, aside from the writing itself.
