Summary
After Lin loses her bending to Amon, Kya rushes to Republic City to try and heal her. Lin is devastated at her loss, and Kya does her best to help Lin remember who she really is, even without her bending.
Takes place in Book 1, after Lin's bending is taken but before Korra's is. Amon's Equalists run rampant through Republic City, rounding up all the benders they can find.

Kya is the second child and only daughter of Avatar Aang and Master Katara. Viewed by everyone as a free spirit, she is caring and loving to those close to her. Desperate to become her own person and find herself at age 19, she left home to travel the world and became a renowned healer in her own right. Now she's back to Republic City and has to face the long-buried feelings she has for Lin who happens to be dating her younger brother.

Upon coming home she is surprised to find her old somewhat friend from middle school working as a Ranch hand. Wanting to heal from her past relationship and wanting to figure out why she and Korra has grown apart.
