After Pearl Harbor, America went to war and it was decided that each branch of the Military would accept one female recruit to join up and fight in the front lines. Despite how the general public felt about it, many brave women volunteered. May Clayton, an Army Corps nurse until very recently, volunteered for the Army branch and was sent to the Airborne. Her goal is to save as many lives as she possibly can. It's a heavy burden, to hold a life in your hands, and such things take their toll. Doubly so to hold so many over the course of a bloody war. And when those lives belong to your friends and comrades? Nobody comes away from that unchanged. But May will pay the price. She'd pay it a thousand times.

It should all be smooth sailing into the dream life they have earned, but they are both ultimately unprepared for what has is happening in Washington, and how close the new policies to weed out the lavender menace can come.
