So, what if those effects weren't just for show, and instead, were added into the sport to beefed it up and make it more extreme! Well, that's what this is...A world where some people are born with enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and reflexes as well as something more unique to them. A world that had to readjust the normal rules for sports to accommodate for the super-inclined. A world where sports were much more flashy, as well as dangerous.

Kazuya Miyuki is San Franideno’s top detective, able to solve a case on his own in less than 48 hours. He’s advised on some of the most prolific murders around the country. He’s considered a genius in the field of homicide detective work, solving nearly 1000 cases in his 12 years on the force. Every detective within a 1000 mile radius would kill to have him as a partner, but he's never had a partner stay for longer than a month.
Because it's hard to find a person who believes he can talk to ghosts. He’s learned that the hard way growing up.
Kazuya has always used his abilities to his advantage, but he meets his match when he suddenly finds himself with serial killer on the loose, and this one’s different:

It feels like the air has been sucked out of the room. Marshal Kataoka approves his choice and dismisses the remaining candidates with words of encouragement to push harder in their training. Kuramochi watches with a vague sense of detachment, and he can’t find it in him to respond to the teasing comment Miyuki throws his way.
Ryousuke can’t pilot a Jaeger anymore. Kuramochi has known this for weeks, but now that he’s replaced him—with his baby brother, no less—it really hits Kuramochi like a punch to the gut.
Ryousuke is never going to be his co-pilot again.

I don't own any of the characters in this story, they all belong to Terajima Yuuji the author of Diamond No Ace. DO NOT REPOST.
This story is about how Sawamura Eijun dies and gets reincarnated to have a second chance at life. This time around he wants to make sure he is more reliable so that his team can depend on him, as he is not sure if he should strive for the ace number or just the hope to bring the third years and the rest of the team to koshien.
This is my first time writing anything and posting it, so i would really like some constructive criticism and opinions overall of the story's flow.

At this point, Sawamura was ready to scram away from all the noise and away from Miyuki Kazuya's sight. It was supposed to be a surprise, where he waged four sleepless nights, only to end up in a unanticipated failure. Of course, Miyuki was smart enough to know, and because Sawamura is stupid - now he fretted all over the place.
Handing the cake abruptly forward, bowing down as an attempt to hide any of his flushed, rosy cheeks, he stammered,
"M-Miyuki-senpai, I like you!"
Great. Because he was about to throw a surprise, and now this one was way too shocking.
