Summary
An ancient pact between the Mushroom Kingdom and the lichen—a powerful, yet peculiar people—dictates that every member of the royal family be bonded with a lichen. As crown prince of the Mushroom Kingdom, George is no exception. However, he finds his lichen, a young man named Dream, very familiar. That, and he’s pretty sure he’s falling in love with him.
When the palace is attacked, George and Dream are left to survive on their own. With new friends and unlikely alliances, will they be able to save the Mushroom Kingdom? (And will George ever tell Dream how he feels?)

Dream has always had a certain fondness for George, but when newly announced feelings fill the creases in his head, he begins to question his recently obtained emotions. A knight should never love a king, and although Dream may try as he might to stick to this statement, self control has never been his strong suit.
“George,“ Dream manages to mumble,“do you know what you’re doing to me?” Sweat trickles down the edges of Dream’s face, his entire body elevates increasing heat while George only stands bare inches away.
“I don’t think you know,“ George breathed,“how special you really are to me. You intoxicate me, Dream.”
“George, I-”
“You get me so high,” George smiles softly. He leans in toward Dream’s ears, breathing onto his skin as he whispers, “and I’m addicted.”

Later, the elegant queen died, and the crown prince had to take over the throne, being the new reformed king.
George sits ideally on his throne, the crown on his head, looking down at the blonde whos kneeling on one knee, clamped with armor, a sadistic smile bestowed on his face. "So you want to be my personal knight?" The knight nods, wordlessly making George even more curious.
"What is your name?" The blonde rose, echoless, "My name is Dream." Surprised by the name, he told him to sit. "Do you want to hear the tale that lies behind these walls? The answer you seek will come." George states, sipping the tea and eyeing him profoundly.
