Summary
When Hero intern and university student, Katsuki Bakugo is captured by The League of Villains, he is shocked to see his childhood best friend, Izuku Midoriya is among their ranks, along with one of his classmates, Shoto Todoroki. After negotiations fail, one of the villains, Himiko Toga, uses her quirk to switch bodies with Bakugo and assume his identity. Held hostage in another person's body while his identity is used to deceive the heroes at the prestigious UA University and Hero Academy, what will Bakugo do to free himself from his disposition? And will he be able to warn the heroes in time before the League's grand coup d'état topples Hero society as we know it?
For story & content purposes a few things diverge from cannon in this AU:
- U.A. High School is a private university that prepares the next generation of Heroes.
- The time line of events is more or less the same as cannon with some changes that better fit the Villain AU theme.
- Deku never inherited One for All, but he still has an incompatible quirk
- Himiko Toga is a genderfluid individual that uses she/he/they pronouns and her quirk has been changed.
- Mineta doesn’t exist in this AU -

Katsuki inwardly smiled, carefully pulling out the explosive. Diligently keeping it out of the guards sights, while doing so he almost forgot about the other captives. Cursing himself, he caught the eyes of a man around 30 catch who froze whenhe saw the grenades but as soon as the man's eyes widened a fraction Katsuki threw it. Time seemed to slow as the grenades flew across the room towards its intended target.

“All we can do it be patient and provide him a safe environment to heal. We don’t know how long he was held captive nor what sort of things he’s had to do to survive.”
“But if no one can get close to him, how are we supposed to help?”
“Have we tried sending in a Beta? If we have one that would be capable of withstanding his quirk, it may be the best middle ground.”
“Red Riot, one of my previous students might be able to. Kirishima’s quirk is hardening and should be strong enough to withstand the Alpha’s explosions. Plus his personality tends to let him make friends with just about everyone. He was on the infiltration team too, so he’s at least minimally aware of the situation. He’d have to be briefed on the specifications, of course.”

It didn't belong on sweet, naive, stupid little Deku's face. "Don't you wish I had jumped now?" He asked, his tone of voice a sharp knife. Katsuki flinched, and Izuku laughed, broken and distorted and angry and scared, jumbled into something inhumane.

"Detective, you have to help, he's in danger." Izuku pressed, walking back over to the bars of his cell. The detective's eyes narrowed dangerously, and Izuku felt his heart skip a fearful beat but more then that he didn't care, because someone was listening.

When I was younger, everything was so much more clear. Good people were heroes and bad people were villains. I was told countless times that villains were evil and heartless, even monsters sometimes. I believed them, I had no reason not to... until one day.
I guess keeping your enemies close does have some value.

Bakugou's morals are shaken when he gets kidnapped by the League of Villains and realizes they are not just ruthless assholes but a dysfunctional family, not so different from Class 1A.
Basically what if society was wearing on Bakugou and the kidnapping at the training camp had a different outcome.
