Summary
A month after defeating the Dark Archer, Oliver Queen continues to protect his city as the Green Arrow while beginning to reach out to other heroes to begin forming the Justice League. Clark Kent continues to take to the skies as Superman while learning how to balance his life as a reporter, hero, and loving boyfriend. The routine the two have established for their lives is disrupted, however, when new threats emerge.
The Council of Time Masters, angered that their plans for Vandal Savage have been derailed by Oliver saving those who would have died in the Undertaking, contract intermediaries to kill the 502 people slated to die in the Undertaking. As Oliver faces off against the Council’s forces in the present, Rip Hunter assembles a team to travel through time and counter the Council’s efforts to make Vandal Savage into their chosen champion. Meanwhile, a pod containing a young Kara Zor-El falls to Earth along with Fort Rozz, the prisoners of which include the infamous General Dru-Zod, who sets his sights on conquering Earth and avenging himself on the son of the man who imprisoned him.

Rip Hunter has recruited a group of widely different people to defeat Savage. He struggles with leading this team, keeping them alive without getting attached and hiding a dark secret from his past hidden from them .
