    Summary

"I see why he likes flirting with you. You both revel in over analysis."

Kelas kept up his composure when Julian's wide eyes flashed him a dangerously silly look, like a child caught with his hand in the ikri bun box.

“My apologies, doctor.” Kelas added. “Correct me if I spoke out of turn. Perhaps I took your rather classically romantic Cardassian banter out of context?”

    Summary

Approximately seven years after the end of the Dominion War, Elim Garak and Dr. Julian Bashir have been enjoined for nearly six years and are living on Cardassia Prime where Julian works in the Capital’s hospital while Garak is involved in unspoken government work. They appear to be a very productive, very happy couple…but is all really well?

Because of his illegal enhancements, Julian is a Carrier; in other words, he has the parts to produce and carry children. Unfortunately for him, the process that made him who he is has also left him with flaws and those flaws complicate his and Garak's desire to have what they want most...a family.

Julian must not only come to terms with the complications, but also accept that he is not alone in dealing with his sorrow...

"Where you go, I will go. Where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die, I will die, and there, I will be buried." Ruth 1:16-17

    ***

“My dear, this world –– my world, my people, in whatever form we manage to survive –– is going to be in a great deal of pain for a long time to come. You would take all of it if you could, into yourself. You would drain yourself dry until there was nothing left. You would drain yourself until it killed you.”

Julian and Garak after the war: partings and reunions, the end of some things and the beginning of others.

    Summary

Eight years after the Dominion War, Dr. Bashir—rather afflicted, unfortunately—is en route to Cardassia Prime. Meanwhile, Garak has re-established himself as a politician of note, and his methods may be the source of more than a little friction. Furthermore, Garak's comrade-in-arms from the Cardassian Rebellion, Kira Nerys, is seeking to define a correct path for the tumultuous planet of Bajor. Ezri Dax, conversely, is struggling with her role in the Federation. The O'Briens are the two people suffering the least, and let me be the first to say, good for them.

Features an absolutely staggering amount of politicking, as well as periodic descriptions of alien ecology. Definitely a ensemble fic. You liked Martok, I hope?

CURRENTLY: Quark has arrived on Cardassia Prime.

    Summary

"Do you need another pair of hands?" Julian asks.

Kelas has juice on his chin, which he dabs with the heel of his palm. "Hands? No." He beckons with sticky fingers, says, "Come here, karyut."

The translator never figured out what to do with karyut. Standard doesn't have an endearment for husband-of-my-husband - support, perhaps, for Garak's opinion that the Federation's language does its citizens a romantic disservice. Julian's been relying less on translations, anyway.

    Summary

This used to be part of my oneshot collection, but I liked it so much that I decided to give it it's own fanfic and more chapters.

It's a soft mirror verse, where there is no war, Miles lives with his family on earth, both in the teaching buisness. Garak and Kelas have just moved to earth, Mona Luvsitt is real and a nurse and Jules Bashir is an autistic young man who's parents never went to that Klingon Hospital. And he is living his best life.

    Summary

The first time Garak and Parmak have sex, they both feel like the only way they will ever be able to interact is with Parmak topping and being dominant. They both yearn for something a little different than what they've been allowed.

    This fic contains:
    - Garak's funny childhood fantasies
    - Parmak being tucked into bed every night
    - the inverse of Una Macormak's Crimson shadow
    - an unholy amount of biting and writhing

    Summary

Was the entire city on fire? his mind fretted. It had happened once before. Something in his head was telling him to be rational, it couldn’t be another fire, but fear still gripped his gut.

“What’s on fire?” Kelas asked, peering out the window. Elim blinked. Last time he checked, Kelas was colourblind, not fully without sight.

    Summary

‘It did not work on Earth,’ he said.

‘No, but we are not human. I did not raise these children to rule our world. I want them to be a part of our society, a useful part. They know that, and they accept their place. We are Cardassians. We know that the common good has to be placed over that of individuals.’

‘Even above your own?’ he sneered.

The question seemed to surprise her. ‘I’m just an instrument, Elim. I have my part to play, and I will. All I do, I do for Cardassia. I thought you knew that by now.'

Years ago the Obsidian Order experimented on Cardassian DNA to create better agents. They thought none of these children had survived when the experiment was terminated, but they were wrong. At the end of the Dominion war, the lost children take their chance to seize power. Their goal is to change Cardassia forever. Some say they created paradise, but the beauty of this paradise lies in the eye of the beholder.

    Summary

Bashir snagged the medkit off of the wall and rushed forward to investigate. Inside, laying atop a mound of blankets, were the remnants of an eggshell… and a little body still covered in scraps of membrane.

    ”A baby!”

When a Cardassian hatchling is found among the wreckage of an abandoned freighter, Bashir and Garak fight to keep her with them on the station. Complications seem to strike at every turn, but together they’ll come to understand what family truly means.

    Summary

Elim had spent the last five years trying very hard not to think of Bashir— of what they might have had, if Elim had let him stay....
It was better like this. Better that the object of a decade’s infatuation remain safe and whole on Deep Space Nine, away from so much chaos and death.

(In which Elim Garak does not understand anything at all.)

    Summary

The funeral was insufferably hot. Of course, it would be. Bashir wore all black, a mourning suit in the traditional Cardassian style that Garak had made for him years ago to attend his first state funeral as the Castellan’s spouse. He wondered if, in the back of his mind, Garak had known Bashir would someday wear it to this very occasion.

He was sweating entirely too much for such a somber event. The black fabric drew the heat of the suns, and he was beginning to feel lightheaded by the time they finally adjourned.

He sat on the steps of the funeral home, and Jeri brought him some cold water to drink and fanned him ineffectually with a floral arrangement. Smoke was rising from the crematorium.
    He’s really gone.
    ***

In which Garak and Bashir never mended their relationship from the wartime wounds, rushed into a politically-motivated marriage, and broke each other’s hearts. Oh, and Garak fakes his own death. Don’t worry, the story does get happier.
