1980 Sotenbori.
Kashiwagi finds himself in the midst of an investigation that is turning up cold and he's running out of time. When Nishitani jumps him, and bests him in a fight, he sees that he has no choice but to let the unpredictable Kijin patriarch help him out.Murders in Kamurocho mean the Tojo clan is losing their grip, and the police are breathing down their necks. Kazama has sent Kashiwagi to go and look into who might be responsible. Unfortunately for Kashiwagi, if he can't figure out the plot against the Tojo clan, he's in line to take the fall and go to jail.
Now, it's a race against time and logic, and Kashiwagi's only help is his sometimes fling, Nishitani. But will they be able to clear Kashiwagi's name in a meaningful way before the police, and the Tojo Clan, demand a confession for the crime?
