Summary
Excerpt from chapter one: "Laurent, I’d like to introduce you to His Grace the Duke of Sicyon, Damianos d'Akielos.”
Damen reacted instinctively. He took the omega’s offered hand and bowed over it. “Lord Laurent.”
The man curtsied before him, it was done with the same fluidity as before the Empress. “Duke, I’m honored to make your acquaintance.”
Just like that, Damen knew that something fundamental had changed and he wasn’t sure if that was terrifying or exhilarating. Most likely both.Set during a regency period, Lord Laurent deVere, second son of the Duke of Arran and Alier, makes his social debut in Marlas in the court of the imperial couple. Dancing, courting, new friendships and maybe even love ensues.

Summary
"Look around you, Damianos. The world is all about runes. It doesn't matter how advanced our technology is, how high skyscrapers are, how many laboratories or factories we build. It doesn't matter how well behaved and disciplined the army is or how lethal we can make our weapons. What does matter are the runes and who is able to use them. Because contrary to what you may think, it's magic that runs this world, not technology. The abilities of our machinery, the fate of this society, even our own existence - it's all written in runes. So whoever is able to control the oldest runes, has the world on its knees."

Summary
Prince Damianos of Akielos is embarking on a trip to Vere. But it isn’t the promise of peace or the chance to rekindle his friendship with king Auguste that draws him.
It’s tales of a monstrous Wolf who hunts at night, and the number of victims which are quickly piling up.
It’s the reward offered by Auguste, so desperate for the carnage to end that he’ll give anything to the one who kills it.
It’s a challenge from his father, who says whichever of his sons reclaims Defleur from the Veretians will be named his heir.
And soon, it’s Auguste’s mysterious younger brother, cold and beautiful, who Damen suspects knows more about the Wolf than he’s letting on.

Our heroes, in various disguises from Pets to islanders, experience treachery, kidnapping, and the discovery of a long lost relative. Along the way, Auguste yearns for Damen, Damen reconciles with Nik, Laurent has his first crush and learns he is much more than a bookish boy.
Part Two moves ahead four years. The landscape will start in Paradiso, move on to Marlas, Ios and Arles and conclude in the dangerous court of the Vaskian Empress. This is a tale of adventure, intrigue and heroics, with side dishes of pining and sweet slow burns.

Summary
“You cannot mean to tell me you would trust my brother on your throne with your son. And as it were, I am not in the market of selling my only living relative.”
“Ah,” Theomedes said. “But you misunderstand me. Your blood will never sit on my throne. I would never let your brother marry my heir. I have two sons.”
***
A royal death during battle was a sign. Years later, Laurent’s features soft with sleep beside Damen, he would think of that as well. He would pull Laurent closer, face buried in the crook of his shoulder and breathing in his omega’s scent mixed with his own. He would think about how their destinies had intertwined that day at Marlas and the world had changed for the both of them.

Summary
Holidays with the DeVeres were always, in one word, chaotic. This year alone, Aleron — four years retired from his beloved company — was still obsessed with work, Hennike was keeping up with her steady diet of Kemptian gossip and chardonnay, Auguste was preparing to become a father when he still didn't know how to quite take care of himself, and Laurent? Laurent simply wanted to survive it all as unnoticed as possible.
Then Damen happened, and he wanted so much more.

Summary
Down there are men Laurent trained with in boyhood. Down there are weapons instructors, friends, maybe every guardsman who ever stood before his rooms in Arles. His father. Auguste. Laurent stops himself from looking over the fields to spot the gold-on-blue of his brother’s banner. He wonders, not for the first time, whether Auguste thinks he is fighting to rescue Laurent or to recapture him.
For all of this--the soldiers, the ships, the wounded, the dying, the grain left in the fields with too few farmers left at home to harvest it--is in some way about him. They are here to reclaim him, to return him to hearth and home at whatever cost. To do so, some were willing to travel hundreds of miles. To do so, all are willing to burn Ios to the ground. All because the Prince of Akielos dared to steal him away.
