Summary
In 2019, Georgie Barker needs a new start. After a tragic event sours her creative output, she finds herself in possession of Magnus Hall, a country home from a relative she never knew. All she wants is a break from ghosts and ghouls; What she gets instead is a local legend, a haunting mystery and an ally in Melanie King, looking for a way to restart her YouTube series after the internal collapse of her show.
In 1949, Martin Blackwood needs a new start. After his last job went sour, he finds himself newly employed by the mysterious owner of Magnus Hall, Jonathan Sims. All he wants is a job that will pay him enough to take care of his mother and not look too closely at his qualifications; what he gets instead is a generational power struggle, the flagging efforts of his new boss to gain the upper hand, and maybe a chance at love along the way.
With supernatural events escalating for Melanie and Georgie, they find themselves needing to ask two simple questions; one, who or what is haunting Magnus Hall?
Two: How do they stop it from killing again?

Summary
In the morning, Tim had apologized if Jon had been uncomfortable with any of it. And he checked in through the evening, said he never wanted Jon to feel pressured or as though Tim was taking advantage of his position. Had gotten a patient smile on his face at the bar when Jon began to squirm, and said he understood about Gerard.
Who was he kidding? Worst of all was Jon’s stupid hopeless crush on his other new boss. The one he wasn’t sleeping with.

“It’s a misunderstanding, please,” Jonah pants, the rush of hearing his own name out of his Archive’s mouth making his heart hammer in this chest. “You’re all I have.”

Summary
“Jonah Magnus.” The cloudy silhouette snarled as it’s hand clamped tightly around Jonah's ascot. That was indeed his name, but Jonah couldn’t begin to fathom what he did to have it spat out with such hatred.
But nonetheless, Jonah was a gentleman and he would kindly address the angry figure as politely as possible, “Yes, and you are?”
“What?” The form spluttered as it slowly came into focus. Ah, yes. That probably wasn’t the proper response to being held at gunpoint by a random stranger. Must have been the blow to his head.
(Or in which Jonathan Sims goes back in time and tries to pull a Terminator, but fails and Jonah Magnus finds a new mystery to solve.)

Summary
Anyone who truly knew Jonathan Sims could clearly state three things about him:
1-He was devoted to The Eye and the solace it gave him after his entanglement with the Web. (So, of course, he was only too happy to become The Archivist...What does an Archivist do exactly?)
2-He possesses a completely ‘platonic’ fascination regarding the founder of The Magnus Institute, (No Tim! I did not draw a little heart instead of an ‘o’ in ‘Jonah’ I simply smudged the ink)
3-He feared his boss, Elias, was either a naive fool, unaware of the divine repository of knowledge he sat upon or, he was an imbecile, truly incapable of serving The Eye competently. In which case, Jon was more than happy to relieve him as his duties as Head of the Institute.
Unfortunately, much to Elias’s amusement and the rest of The Archival staff’s horror, no one knew Jon terribly well.
And as for Jon...well...becoming The Heart of the Institute was both easier and harder than he thought it would be.

Summary
“Why are you here,” he asked, feeling tired, angry, sad - so, so sad - with both hands in Elias’ hold. Elias held his hand once, after Prentiss; supportively. Is that what it is, Jon wondered, not especially invested in the thought - a path too dangerous, that is; missing the ignorance.
“I’m always here. That’s how - how did you put it - we grossly feel each other,” Elias smiled - and it was almost bland and normal, too. “You see me, though, because I thought you might need to.”
