Summary
The prophecy of Ice and Fire remains unfulfilled and the old Gods are dying. As a last desperate act they send Jon Snow back in time in the hope that he can save them. Though they don't give him much to go on.
Jon is forced to navigate the trials and tribulations of his first life once again, all while trying to change the future for the better and save all those who died the first time. It's not an easy task however, since, even though he is no longer the naïve green boy he once was, he is but one man stationed at the edge of the world. Jon finds that even with knowledge of what to come there are some things that just cannot be changed, and some changes are not for the better.

Sansa arrives in Highgarden under the guise that the Tyrell's had true intentions of saving her from a tormented life in King's Landing and that Willas is as kind and fair as Margaery had claimed. But hidden letters unearthed by Sansa reveal the truth behind the Tyrell's lies and Sansa's world is suddenly thrown upside down, once again. Death and lies seem to cling to Sansa, like the suffocating scent of roses clings to the Tyrell's. She averted her eyes and rubbed her legs. “I know.”
“The North cannot be under Southern reign again. Not now. No matter how righteous their ruler.” Their gazes crossed. His eyes were soft and pleading. She could feel his breath on her skin. “But I would support your claim to the throne in full.”
“I know,” she nodded. “Just not of Seven Kingdoms.”

Summary
Jon finds himself wandering. His feet carry him to one of the battlements, snow coming down in soft-feathered waves that dust the rooftops. Winterfell is alive with light, windows glowing and chimneys smoking, and Jon can't remember the last time he saw it so full of life, walls still standing tall.
This Winterfell has never seen a Bolton occupation, has never witnessed the march of the dead, the wrath of dragon fire. It is eight years before the fall of the Wall, and it feels like a dream. Jon still can't bring himself to completely believe it. Mance Rayder is not yet King Beyond The Wall, the Free Folk have not yet begun to gather, and what stories there are of White Walkers and the dead that walk are still only that, just stories.
It has not yet begun, Jon thinks, dread sinking in his stomach.
And then-
It has not yet begun, Jon thinks again, the thought taking on a new turn in his mind.

The Three-Eyed Raven struggles to return an alternate version of Jon Snow at the point of his resurrection at Castle Black, with Sansa Stark just days away, in order to truly destroy the Night King. Though life-threatening as it is, the Night King is merely a detour on his way to confront the Others in his home world. The Long Night that approaches there will be unlike anything the worlds have known as the Gods make their final stand.
