Summary
Josh’s Mom passes away, and Donna is sent to Connecticut with him to help control his spiral. Whilst sitting Shiva, they bond more than previously thought possible.
Set in mid season 4, but not really connected to any specific episode).
(It’s mostly sad and angsty, but does have a few fluff moments thrown in too. For context, I also made Josh’s mental health struggle a little more prominent, because I think it was overlooked. Also, Mackenzie McHale from The Newsroom comes into it for a little while, but it’s not essential to know TNR! title: marjorie, taylor swift)

Summary
“Hey,” Josh says as he approaches his friend, gesturing in the general direction of the stage. “Who is this?”
Sam rolls his eyes. “I’m doing well, thank you for asking.” When Josh doesn’t respond, Sam gives him what he wants by responding, “It’s Donna.”
“Donna?”
“Donna Moss.” The name sounds vaguely familiar, but Josh can’t put his finger on why. “You know, Donna? She and I were on Andy Wyatt’s tour together last fall? She’s the one who said she didn’t believe I could go shot for shot with her at a dive bar after our St. Louis show and ended up having to drag me back to the hotel and put me into bed afterward.”

Summary
It was always supposed to have been Josh and Mandy.
After their successful run of Carmen, it had been expected that The Washington Ballet would stick to what worked. There was never supposed to be another audition. Company principles seemingly traveling from role to role was the usual.
It had been an unusual season — schedule conflicts and last minute alternate class partners — and suddenly, everything seemed to have changed.
And it had all started when he had danced with her.

Summary
“Keep a close eye on that one, Josh, and your son when he arrives.” Jed leaned closer, doing a poor imitation of the way he had murmured state secrets into encrypted phone receivers not all that long ago. “Because if you think the time flies now, wait until you’re walking her down the aisle.”
Josh sighed deeply, his eyes wide and wary. “I gotta say, Mr. President, if that was meant to be in any way reassuring, I’m sorry to be the one to tell you, but you failed.”
…
Or: Josh blinks and it comes time to walk the aforementioned daughter down the aisle.

Summary
When Leo collapses in the woods at Camp David, naming CJ his successor, she is left with the incredibly hard lot of stepping into the largest job in the West Wing short of the President's office while worrying over the husband no one knows she's married to, trying to combat both implicit and explicit sexism in the role, and holding on to a precious piece of news she never got to tell him.

Summary
Josh stands up suddenly, and without much warning, swings one leg straight up to rest on top of the desk. It’s an impressive feat of flexibility, and even though Donna knew he was capable of it, she still finds herself a little surprised. “If I was sick, could I do this?” he asks.
Abbey frowns. “What are you doing?”
“The splits,” Josh says confidently. Upon looking at Donna, Abbey, and Sam’s confused faces, he frowns. “Am I not doing them?”

Summary
When a Kentucky lawyer and a brilliant gardener/chef meet at the local farmers' market, the attraction is instant. He's hopeless at cooking, but she's more than happy to help. As their romance blossoms, they discover that the best recipe for love involves being willing to take a risk on the unexpected and the courage to embrace a new future.
(in other words, I tried my hardest to sound like the back cover of a romance novel 😂)
