Summary
Christopher’s tears finally tipped over. “He can’t leave!”
“Chris, baby, I gotta go.” Buck said.
"But you can’t go home when you’re hurt! Dad has to fix you!”
“What does he mean, Buck?" Eddie asked.
----
“Eddie, Nick is hitting Buck, and I think he’s gonna kill him!"
"Buck’s apartment, now!” was all Eddie had to say, and the team was taking off to the trucks.
Hen and Chimney went sprinting to the ambulance, Eddie, Bobby and the others not far behind to the ladder truck. As Eddie jumped inside, sirens clicked on, and the gas to the fire truck had never been pressed harder.
-----
Several months ago, Buck got into a relationship, one he was certain would distract him from his current downward fall into love for Eddie.
Instead, Buck wears long sleeves, panics easily, and is hiding away his biggest secret.
Nick hits him.
The team doesn't know, yet , and if they find out, Buck knows it won't be pretty.
If only Buck knew how right he was.

Summary
-He’d surfed many seas, rode an infinite amount of waves, though none of them quite felt like home, like he’d surfaced. It wasn’t until he met the guy with eyes as deep as the ocean that he let himself drift to shore, sinking right into them. Everything about him was like being right on the edge, like you could travel for miles and still never quite reach his depths, like a wave that couldn’t be touched, couldn’t be brought down. Sometimes, you couldn’t stop the wave, but you could learn to surf it. Eddie had spent his entire life riding the waves, but nothing could prepare him for the depths of Evan Buckley. –

Summary
Eddie came out around six months ago, and Chris has been trying to encourage Eddie to embrace it more. One time, he grabbed a pack of rainbow napkins at the supermarket and unceremoniously dropped it into the shopping cart. He also chose ‘Out’ on movie night, which made both Buck and Eddie cry (Chris just watched them with a raised eyebrow before giving both of them a tight hug). In any case, it’s all been… good. He means it.
It’s just… there’s a capital ‘T’ Thorn that’s prickling Buck’s heart and is making it slowly bleed out.
Or: ceramics, fish, and names that start with a T. Add two pining idiots into the mix and the plot thickens.
Or or: Buck is pining for his best friend and copes with a new hobby. Who knew fish would bring them together?

Summary
Buck finds the biggest downside to being single is being alone with his thoughts in a too big, empty apartment. It had never truly felt like home not even when Taylor tragically moved in but now, it feels like home even less. Being here makes him miss Eddie, miss Christopher, miss stolen moments in which he pretends to have everything he knows is always just out of reach.
The black duffel bag that sits at the foot of the stairs leading up to his bedroom mocks him, reminding him he’s always just passing through, never allowed to stay in the place where his heart resides.
They say home is where the heart is, and his heart is always with Eddie.
