Summary
Josephine took another step to him, biting her lip. “My father killed me. And all those failed attempts at finding a host? Looking back at it, I think it was him trying to repent. Trying to right his wrongs. Something I still feel like he’s trying to do.” She gave Bellamy a humorless smile.
“But I don’t want it. Not like…..not like this…not when it’s not just me in here.”
She let that last bit hang in the air for a moment, watching him again, seeing the way the cogs in his head spun, taking in that information.“For over a century, every host we inhabit is gone. Every single time. Leaving just a shell. Just the body for us to overtake. Every single time…except now.”
---
Bellamy tries to figure out a way to save Clarke when he and Josephine realize that her consciousness is still there.

Summary
Clarke feels like she’s underwater, breathing in glass. The air feels syrupy, but raw against her throat, and she has to squint if she looks at the sky for too long. The yellow-blue plants of this planet burn her skin if she touches them for too long. It’s hard to get up after she’s been sitting down for more than a few minutes, and it feels like something is pressing down on her shoulders every time she takes a breath.
It didn’t take long for Clarke to realise that something was wrong. No one else did, but she doesn’t expect them to because what's wrong isn't the planet, it's her.

Summary
There are three things Clarke knows at the end of the world.
All three are running through her head as she grips the side of the tower, her hands coated with sweat as she wills herself to move further up. Out of the corner of her eye, Clarke can see Praimfaya waging a war against the Ground that it could never win. She tells herself not to fully face it because the implication causes her to sweat in her palms and her legs to freeze. With the raging winds and the height, she doesn't need any more anxiety about what she's doing. So she focuses up, staring at the dish that refuses to align as she does so, telling herself over and over again it's only a little bit further.
It's a lie, but a lie that slowly recedes the further she climbs and soon enough, her feet land on a solid platform and she lets out a shaky breath. The fire rages on.
~~~~~~~~~~
People said the end of the world happened six years ago. They didn't tell Clarke that it would actually be happening now. (Or, the S5 AU nobody wants, but I'm writing anyway)
When they make it to the new planet, Clarke tells herself it’s a fresh start. But she feels so separated from everyone, as if she’s a few seconds behind everyone else. When the idea of sending a search party out to explore how dangerous the new planet is, is suggested, Clarke sneaks out to explore herself to save people from any danger.
The trek takes a turn for the worse when she discovers the planet isn’t as friendly as they had hoped. A quick scouting mission turns into a fight for survival as Clarke tries to work through what she’s done – even if it means giving her life.
Summary
He ached to touch her when Abby suggested, “Take her hand.”
It was on instinct, that his fingers were already halfway there before he could process her words. One of the muscles in her arm reacted to the contact of his skin against hers. He stopped talking, he almost stopped breathing, and then he kneeled so that her face was at the same level as his. “Princess?”
For a second there was nothing, and he thought that maybe he’d imagined it, but then he saw movement. It was barely there, but he saw it, and he choked out a sob, finally letting the tears fall down his cheeks. He let his forehead fall against the mattress, where their hands were still joined, trying to calm the wild beating of his heart.
___
Or: Clarke is trapped in her mind, and there's only one person who can save her.
