Summary
When Aether and Lumine are separated at a slave market, Aether doesn’t know for which of them he fears the most. They had already struggled to survive as orphans, but nothing could compare to the cruelty of slavery. He is bought by Lord Childe, and brought as a pet for a meeting with his associates – Zhongli, Kaeya and Diluc – who were together with their respective slaves – Xiao, Albedo and Venti.
But what looked like the start of a nightmare soon is revealed as a pool of opportunities, and Chide and his friends are not like what was told about slave owners. His life wasn’t perfect. Every one of them had to do some questionable choices to survive. But could he love that group of people and let them replace the family member that he lost? Would he ever see Lumine again?

Two weeks ago, Albedo woke up blind and was pulled from the mountains to rest in the city. There is the expectation for his sight to improve but as he privately begins to uncover the cause of his blindness, he knows that his eyesight cannot be recovered.
What’s more, Albedo finds himself frequently in Kaeya’s care and company, leaving him vulnerable to feelings and experiences that he’s spent his whole life rejecting.
Without his sight, Albedo has to grapple with all of the ways in which his life will change — and he is so desperate for familiarity that he’s hellbent on forcing some things to stay the same.

Ungloved fingers brushed against your hot forehead, as your feverish eyes peered over to see indifferent eyes the color of sapphire. Copious amounts of sweat drew against the line of your brows, and your heavy winter clothes stuck uncomfortably to your skin. Warmth pooled in the naval region, almost enough to make you throw yourself onto Dragonspine's snow to cool down. But even as the howling winds churn outside of the cave's campsite, your body continued to boil at abnormal levels.
With a sweat-ridden hand, you lightly slap his fingers away. ''It'd be better...if you left me alone for a while...'' you muttered under your fanning breath.

Kaeya could hardly be considered a God with his gnosis stolen from a dying archon, but others don't see it that way. Namely his friends that don't wanna run the risk of the fatui showing up and beating him into the ground. Kaeya doesn't mind too much, but he will probably die without his gnosis, and that's just a little inconvenient.
