The electrician had poked around for a few minutes before telling Techno that rau couldn’t make an ounce of sense of the wiring, and it was a hopeless case.
Dang. Techno may have bought this as a fixer-upper, but that doesn’t usually involve rewiring the entire building.
He’s tried to live with it for a while—finding placeholder solutions on the internet, leaving them in place longer than was recommended, just plain ignoring the problem.
But the water sprite who'd lived with him for the last year had moved out, citing the electricity as the sole reason, and left Techno in the lurch.
