A retelling of the Fifth Holy Grail War in which Rin summons Saber as her servant instead of Archer. It is a mixture of the "Heaven's Feel" route from the original game and original plot elements. This version of Fate/Stay Night focuses primarily on Rin and Saber's relationship while also exploring the themes of familial expectation, duty, gender, and sexuality.
Some of this fanfic was posted some time ago, but this is the completely reworked, director's cut version which will be posted in full with refined lore, tons of additional passages and interactions, and all new chapters. Ultimately, beyond the first few chapters, it is almost an entirely new fanfic from the original.

A young, orange headed boy comes across it, flees and pays with his life for coming across a sight not meant for prying eyes. He is healed by an unknown party, comes to, and escapes. Unfortunately, he is pursued by the spear wielding man again, and while able to defend himself this time, the experience is near verbatim what happened last time. Determined not to meet the same fate after having his life saved, the boy unknowingly summons a warrior of his own. But instead of the blonde-haired king, wielding the sword of the planet, it was instead a lavender haired stranger, wearing strange and unfamiliar clothing, with a strange and unfamiliar logo, but a sword wielder all the same. The spearman is warded off and a familiar question is stated, “Are you my master?” Come along as we chronicle the tales of Future Trunks and his effect on the 5th Holy Grail War as the servant of Tohsaka, Emiya, and Matou in the Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven’s Feel routes respectively.

Fujimaru Ritsuka put on a brave front, but he was a mortal caught in a war of demigods. The sky was falling, violating linear time was a job requirement, and everything he’d ever known was ashes. The birth of the makeshift family of Kirei, Rin, Sakura, and Caren.
Another makeshift family of Artoria, Irisviel, Illyasviel, and Gray.
And those are only the beginning. History has changed, for better, and for worse.
But, now the Fifth Holy Grail War has begun. Let us hope that it doesn't become an even greater disaster than it would have been otherwise.
