Takemichi moved into a new apartment building with his mother, where he first meets Chifuyu. A seemingly quiet kid who loves cats. Then he meets Keisuke, an eccentric, loud, violent kid…who also loves cats.
The three become good friends, a cute little trio who adore cats more than anything and made it their mission to look after all the stray cats in and around their building.
However, peace is lost when Keisuke introduces two of his other friends to the trio, Manjirou and Kazutora.

Blue eyes stared hard at the reflection in the mirror. With his hair down and a permanent straightening, he did look a little like Shinichiro.
Not enough for people (especially Mikey) to keep going on and on with how much he reminded of the founder of the Black Dragons. Thus, they could only assume it was Takemichi's personality.
Shame, because that was null now.
Because as much as it pained Takemichi, Kazutora was right. His way to do things wasn't enough, never good enough and the weight of his mistakes could not be shaken away.
Neither of them knew how they had gotten here, neither of them cared. They were back to the beginning. They could fix things once and for all.

The first time Takemichi sees what will become of him, he's fourteen, sixteen, twenty-six.
He is, as often as he is not, everywhere. He's caught between states of times, pulled between when he should go and when he's meant to be and when he actually is. Tugged in all directions not by the where, not by the how, but by the when.
Time is a slippery thing, though it took him a while to realize. It's a bit pathetic how long it takes him to realize it's twice as nonsensical as he'd first thought.
(Or, those oh-so-convenient visions kick in sooner. Who woulda thought.)
