A stranger has moved into the city and has immediately caught Galo Thymo's eye. There is a mysterious air about him, something that completely draws him in. There's a charm that he has never experienced before in his life. It makes him want to learn more about him.
Lio has been on the road for a while, his friends Meis and Gueira sticking close to him. This city was supposed to be the same as all the other ones. But this city had something, or rather someone, the other ones didn't.

From his suit jacket, Galo unfurls an official-looking document, with the city's seal at the bottom next to several swirling signatures. Galo's grin has the intensity to rival the sun. "I'm running for Governor next year!"
Absolute dead silence. No one says a word. Not a soul even dares to breathe.
Which makes it audible to every person in the room when Lio, red in the face, gets to his feet and shrieks, "What?"
In which Galo learns what "legislation" is, Lio struggles to rebuild while being public enemy number one, and a slanderous rumor that they're dating might just end up being their saving grace.

As ridiculous as it would have sounded to him before, a lot of things just made sense in this new era they are building for themselves.
Galo bringing Lio home to live with him makes sense. Joining Burning Rescue, ironic as it was, makes sense.
Becoming shower buddies with his roommate, though, does not.
And yet.
Lio has some regrets.Or in which Lio and Galo come to enjoy washing each other's hair and Lio's pining so hard he might as well explode.

Summary
There’s a lot of things no one tells you about saving the world--Lio learns this very quickly after the promare are gone.
He supposes those kinds of stories have always existed. The world is saved, and obviously that means everyone lives happily ever after. Or if they don’t, it didn’t matter because the story was over and you didn’t have to think about what happened next. The End.
In reality, it didn’t really work like that.
