I'm not good at summaries so sorry in advance:
Marinette is constantly on the run, and all because of her nature. If she isn't, then those she cares about will be killed by bounty hunters. Unfortunately, a certain event proved that. Marinette was all alone, until she wasn't. She was luckily adopted by a french couple and was finally able to live the normal life she always wanted. Though, like all good things, it ended. Getting caught up with all the drama, made her forget that she wasn't suppose to stay in one area for a long time. When finally realizing this, she quickly got to work, hoping that she wasn't too late. Events transpire which led her all the way to Gotham. Will she finally live the normal she always wanted or will she be dragged back into drama? With the bats nearby and her past always hot on her heels, probably.

“I can’t stay away,” Ladybug repeats. “There’s something about you that won’t let me, especially after you talked me down today. I’ll just have to be extra careful that Shadowmoth doesn’t find out I’m here. Especially after…you know…the whole Miracle Queen thing.”
Where Ladybug is the one to visit her prince in his tower after the events of 'Ladybug' and things go from there.

Marinette Cheng-Dupain is the daughter of Sabine Cheng and the mayor of Paris Tom Dupain's stepdaughter. For her sixteenth birthday, her mother gave her a family heirloom. It's a puzzle box that no one in the family has been able to solve.
However, she manages to find a way to open a secret compartment within the puzzle box, giving her a set of ladybug-themed earrings. Now she finds herself becoming a ladybug-themed heroine who has to stop those wielding similar pieces of magic jewelry known as Miraculous.

Now, in the light of a new era for Paris no longer haunted by the fear of Hawkmoth, Marinette has to find her way amongst the cautiously-accepting guardians to find the best way to ensure that the Miraculous are managed in a way in harmony with the high principles of the Order's founder. All this must be done in the shadow of previously only hinted at threats that intend to use the magic of the Miraculous for selfish purposes and in the face of fearful mundane authorities.

Everything has been going right for Marinette lately. She had gotten into the fashion school at the best college in Paris. And at 20, has finally gotten her own place. Granted, it was a new apartment complex that few knew about, but she was able to get it for real cheap and she was within walking distance to the arts building at her school. She didn’t need a roommate but would gladly accept only a few people requests. Mainly, Alya and Adrien.
Adrien can't seem to convince his father to get him to room with Marinette and the two of them can't seem to talk straight to each other either. He starts visiting her as Chat Noir instead.
