Vi had needed to hide from the Enforcers for only a few minutes, half an hour tops. When she climbed through the conveniently open window, Vi had expected an empty Topsider study that she could loot while she waited for the scene to clear on the street. What she HADN'T expected was to have a gun pointed in her face by a wanna-be Enforcer. A wanna-be Enforcer with blue eyes that stole Vi's breath away and an outlook that made Vi question everything she expected from Topside.
Another "they meet as kids!" au but we can pretend that it's different.

Summary
Paul Goodbrook was born in Piltover, but like many unfortunate souls in Zaun, he lost people he cared for when the Topsiders battled the Zaunites. This puts him down a path he didn't expect, where he will discover more about himself as he navigates the political world of Pilltover and falls further into Zaun's crminal underworld.
This is book 1 of a planned trilogy. This book will take place before the start of Act 2 of the show, then will follow Paul's POV through the events of the show. As such, this book will be more of a contained story, as it will mainly follow Paul for the majority of the chapters. The plan is for book 2 to be my own version of Season 2 with some original characters involved, so it will be a larger story with regards to how many characters we will follow. Then book 3 will be a season 3 story based on my season 2 story.
DISCLAIMER: I am a fan of Arcane. I have researched into LoL lore for inspiration, but I will NOT be using this as a faithful prequel to the current game lore. IT WILL BE ITS OWN STORY. This means that I may end up killing characters off before they reach the position they are in the game. I do not own Arcane. Any original characters are of my own making.

A story in which I project my love for the fanon idea of Viktor being involved in the Firelights, but make it more personal with him dedicating years to raising Ekko and Jinx as his own. Angst, fluff, Caitvi, Jayvik and likely timebomb will all occur in the future, strap in my dears :)

"You have snot all over your face" A young boy with spiky hair snorted.
"Mylo, leave her alone" And a familiar girl admonished him, turning her face and smiling softly at her " Morning, Pow-Pow, how was you sleep?"
Pow-Pow, a nickname she no longer associated with herself.
Powder was weak and imperfect. Jinx was perfect.
She was so perfect, she had travelled back in time, gaining a chance to save her dad. To save Silco and give Zaun it's freedom once again.

Summary
All Katya Slostov cares about is keeping her brother, Viktor, alive. A tall order considering his bent skeleton and chronic illnesses. Luckily, he spends most weeks at Piltover's Prepartory School on partial scholarship and out of the toxic Underground air. Also, luckily, Katya is able to covertly abuse her position at the medical clinic in the mines to keep her and her brother afloat. Some might call her a drug dealer, but people can call her whatever they like just so long as she's able to give her younger brother, and only family, a fighting chance.
Silco cares about two things: the burgeoning revolution he and his brothers and sisters in arms are coaxing to life, and making sure his sickly mother lives long enough to see the Undercity freed from the heel of Piltover.
(This story serves as my version of a prequel to Arcane: League of Legends)
Priorities clash and feelings conflict when Katya is pulled into the Children of Zaun's orbit, and Silco grapples with the fact that there is another thing - another person - to care about.

Being a senior and the volleyball ace of the school, Vi had a small number of priorities: perform just well enough in her classes so that she doesn't lose her scholarship for university, and to win more matches for the school. She has no time or energy for anything else that goes around. She certainly is not interested in this new student that's coming to their school in the middle of the damned semester and she's getting really annoyed with how no one seems to shut up about this new kid who is not even there half of the time.
However, there is something odd about this new girl. Vi notices that, while not present, the others are always talking about her, one way or another. She refuses to get involved with someone like her, until one day, fate puts them face to face with one another.
