Summary
It was a man, a little shorter than him, dressed like he’s potentially ready for battle but his clothes also looked very movable and breathable. But that wasn’t the point. Thoma’s eyes got stuck on this man’s tail and ears.
Thoma paused, all of his other surroundings seeming to blur out of existence, his grip loosening on the paper in his hand with the short list on it enough that it nearly got taken by the breeze. “Oh, shoot!” He cried under his breath as it slipped from between his fingers and he had to lunge forward to grab it. Unfortunately, in doing so, he tripped over his own feet and stumbled forward, causing a couple people to lurch out of the way as he regained his balance over his next couple steps.
He straightened up, eyes wide before he cleared his throat and brushed himself off, blinking a few times. Then he looked to where he had just seen the man with the dog ears and tail, only to find him a couple steps closer, looking at him.

Gorou is in love with his old friend, Kaedehara Kazuha. However, Kazuha hasn't been the same since Tomo's disappearance. Gorou watches and pines from afar, until his eighteenth birthday. Gorou transforms into a shiba inu and starts visiting Kazuha daily. Kazuha takes a liking to the shiba inu, and Gorou thinks he is finally able to repair his friend ship with Kazuha as a human.
This is until Gorou finds out that he is cursed to slowly become stuck as a dog forever unless he is able to make the person he is in love with, to love him back.

In which Kazuha comes back to work at Komore Teahouse, Gorou falls insufferably in love, Yoimiya should never have been given control over the menu, let alone anything else, and Thoma firmly believes that he deserves a raise for his suffering, but in all honesty, he is just as hopeless as the rest of them.Thoma is pulling the last batch of buns out of the oven when he hears the sound of things hitting the floor from the front of the teahouse, followed by racing footsteps and a delighted shout.
“Kazuha!”
Thoma ducks out of the kitchen to see what all the fuss is about, only to find both of his friends standing in the middle of the teahouse, practically embracing, heedless of the many gazes fixed on them.
“Hello, Gorou,” Kazuha says, holding his friend up effortlessly, pink-cheeked. “I wondered when you might show up.”
