Summary
Gerry wants to go away — out of his home in Red London, a city thriving with elemental magic, to a parallel one. Black London, where magic is unsustainably strong and threatens to swallow everything; or White London, a dangerous city in a world that doesn’t know it’s dying.
But though he has the power — Gerry is an Antari, a blood magician capable of travelling between worlds — he has little chance of escaping his mother’s eye and the experiments she requires him for.
Until, at last, he does.
*
in which there is magic, parallel worlds, Londons, a fair amount of blood and gerrymichael.

Summary
The red head of the match glances off the box in a clumsy strike and is instantly alight. There is nothing interesting about the fire, really, other than the fact that Jon created it.
--
Or, Jon used fire to deal with Mister Spider when he was eight years old, and the Desolation has clung to him ever since.

Summary
After the end of the end of the world, Jon and Martin end up in the same place the Entities do—which is to say, everywhere. The problem is, they’ve never been everywhere before, and it’s not as easy as it looks. While they would very much like to help the innumerable worlds that they doomed to the predation of the Dread Powers, they don’t have much practice at influencing reality through spooky books, monsters, or spacetime manipulation. That doesn’t mean they don’t try their best.
Elsewhere, in one of these innumerable worlds, Jon finds a book. It tells him to fall in love, and also, to invest in a cement mixer.

Summary
The Eye isn't happy with how the end of the world turned out. Neither are Jonah and Jon. There is no other option but to rewind time and go down a different path. But time is hard for The Spiral and The Web likes to meddle.
This is how Jon finds himself back in his eight year old body with all his memories, some of his powers intact and a strange bracelet around his right wrist. Saving the world, Jon realizes soon enough, is much harder when no one takes you seriously.

Summary
A jolt of hope passes through Gerry. "You're thinking of giving up the search then?"
He regrets the words almost immediately as he watches Tim's expression falter.
"There's nothing wrong with that," Gerry adds. "These aren't the sort of things that one man can sort out on his own."
"Well, I'm not really on my own, am I?" Tim says, looking him straight in the eyes. His are a deep brown that seem to betray every feeling he has. The feeling he appears to be having right now is entirely too trusting, more trusting than Gerry deserves.
--
In the wake of Danny Stoker's death, Tim meets Gerry Keay. Gerry quickly becomes his closest ally, until life (and death) get in the way.

Summary
Michael Shelley has never been to the Archivery. He has never had memories pulled from his head. He has never met the Archivist's apprentice.
Which doesn't explain why there's a whole row of the apprentice's books in the Archivery vault, with Michael's name on their spines.
Title and chapter names taken from Edna St. Vincent Millay's Collected Poems.

Summary
In a move that surprised no one, Jonathan Sims, award winning investigative journalist, snuck an article into The Independent that ruined his career. Blacklisted from every reputable newspaper in the country, he ends up at the Inky Truth in Ely, a small city of 20,000 about two hours from London. The managing editor, Elias Bouchard, makes him promise to leave the hard-hitting journalism in London, and resign himself to a future of reporting on small town history and happenings.
Jon doesn't think that keeping that promise will be hard. But there is a greater scheme at work in Ely, and anyone who gets too close to it dies. Can Jon be content turning a blind eye and sticking to small town life, or is his curiosity going to pull him into a high stakes investigation where his life is the collateral?

Jon and Martin aren’t sure of too many things, but they do know they’ll happily walk through any tempest that allows them to keep Gerry safe, even if that means facing Mary Keay head-on. -

Summary
'To say that Michael was in control of his own mind would be wholly, and fundamentally, untrue.
It would make sense, in hindsight, for him not to be, with its nature being what it is – but it is not lack of control the distortion craves. It is confusion and madness it wants, and maybe, just maybe, Michael’s very existence is nothing more than a pathetic ouroboros slowly feeding on itself in a perpetual cycle of undeserved misery and rightful retribution.'
An analysis of Michael - its tragedy, its existence, and its becoming.

Summary
He asked me for my name, which I gave, thinking he was another security guard or employee of some sort. Instead of asking about my bags or my dog, he nodded to himself and offered to take one of my bags. When my brows furrowed, he chuckled to himself.
"Of course, how could I forget," he said, his voice and accent as gorgeous as his face. "You and I have never met before, so you must not recognize me. I am Elias Bouchard, current head of the Magnus Institute in London."

Summary
Michael knows it’s being honest.
The problem is that it doesn't know how to clarify that it's being honest.
And it just hurts so much to see the human that it loves, fragile and mortal, like human beings are, just... not… care.
And that he gets upset about being told he should.
So it leaves.
And Gerry is left alone to his anger.
