Summary
Was there ever a more conducive environment for strangeness? Leitners circulate in the library system like demons through damnation. Hallways twist into impossible configurations. Above everything, a man watches, green-eyed and pensive, all-seeing. Boys who have been teenagers since the nineties repeat the same grade and watch their teachers’ eyes fog over with memories unshaping themselves.
Or: Jonathan Sims (fifteen years of age), a watchful school, the losing of his lonesomeness, and a whole library of books older than your great-grandfather’s dick.

“But, yes, if you all really must know, I married Gerard Keay in Las Vegas.” The total stillness at the table would have better suited a painting than a group of very confused archival assistants. A blob of ketchup falls from the chip frozen halfway to Melanie’s mouth.
“You… married a ghost,” says Melanie, eventually, in a stilted, leading tone.
“Mhm,” says Jon.A ghost story is something that can be so matrimonial, actually. Too bad Jon and Gerry didn't find that out until the wedding.

Summary
As time went by, he found himself seeking out some kinds of stories above others. Some made him ache with jealousy—wholesome families, protective siblings. Some felt distant and dull, especially when “coming of age” seemed to mean “find a girlfriend.” But friends—friends could be found. You didn’t have to be born with them. There was still hope, away from home, away from his mother...
He kept reading stories. Stories were all he had. He fought back the loathing that the touch of a book cover sometimes gave him, tried to fill his dreams with things other than nightmares.

Summary
Gerry generally doesn’t frequent pubs like this one, where the wooden table in front of him is sticky enough that his glass pulls slightly against his grip as he lifts it before it unsticks with a wet ripping noise. The pub is a small, dirty thing, aptly named The Rusty Bucket, and apparently, it’s the venue for trivia night every Thursday, of which Jon and his friends are regulars.
Gerry’s never met Jon’s friends. But he supposes there’s a first time for everything.

Summary
Lost and alone at the end of the world, Jon decides to try one last idea. It goes wrong, as his ideas usually do, when both the Web and the Spiral decide to interfere with what he's doing. For once the disaster goes his favor. Mostly.
He wouldn't have chosen to go back in time to when he was eight years old. He certainly wouldn't have chosen to catch Elias freaking Bouchard's attention before he's had a chance to do anything. And he cannot believe that his luck is so monumentally bad that he gets adopted by the man who wants to use him to end the world.
Jon has to figure out how to keep Elias away, while saving his friends and the world. And hopefully growing old enough that he can go anywhere on his own and be taken seriously.

Set after Mag. 160, deals with everything that we know up until that point (with the exception of tapes that were recorded during S1-4 and mentioned after episode 160) and explores the possibility of Jon gaining new powers as well as trying his best to stop the end of the world

Summary
“He just showed up the other day for the first time in, so far as I can tell, ever, and no one thinks it’s even a little bit weird? Something’s not right.”
Martin paused for a moment.
Jon was, of course, hoping in vain that his pointing it out would bring some sudden revelation, and then the two would set out with some half-brained scheme to Expose Michael For What He Really Was. They would go and tell Tim, who would tell Sasha, and it would be rather like old times: the four of them charging recklessly into something bigger than they understood, and coming away with some wild memory of their recent escapade, or something new and terrible and grand to ponder, or the truth, or whatever it was they went looking for.
But Martin just said, “Jon, are you sure you’re feeling alright?” and Jon sighed.
