Summary
Jon tries to force the Spiral to send him back, but the Sprial's corridors never twist things quite the way you want them to. Back in 1996, Elias has no idea why or how the Eye made such a powerful Avatar out of an 8 year old, especially when said 8 year old doesn't actually know he has any powers at all. Clearly such a child cannot be left outside the Institute's care.

Summary
It shouldn't be happening. It's impossible -- like properly impossible, not just Spiral impossible. This door isn't even real, much less actually made of wood but --
The latch snaps under their combined force and the door swings inward, somehow, rather than outward and both of them pitch forward and fall.
There's a sound not unlike a lightbulb burning out.
(A time travel AU where everybody lives and nothing is fixed.)

Summary
It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that an avatar alone in the world is beneficial for all parties involved.
The last thing Jonathan Sims expected when he came to the small town of London was to fall in love.
A vague Pride and Prejudice AU featuring many cups of tea, British-typical rainy weather, and, of course, The Admiral.

Summary
“In the lair of the Harvest-woman, there is a phoenix,” his mother tells him. “Bring me a portion of its fire, and I will forgive you.”
It is a harsh price to pay for the chance to leave, as slim as that chance is, now. The Harvest-woman’s web stretches far and wide beyond her lair, and she is said to strangle any and all who fall into it, for no reason but to see what they look like as they die.

Summary
It is a careful line for him to balance, Jonah considers. Allowing Emma to lead her and scar her, but not letting her die. He is just as much invested in this... experiment that Ms. Harvey has decided to conduct as the conductor herself, albeit for a much different conclusion than she. And so when Emma and Fiona find themselves standing in front of a coffin, James Wright requests a favor and ensures that the former goes in first.
Years later, Jonathan Sims laments on the perceived incompetency of the Head Archivist.
